This is our 20th year on the field. What a milestone! It’s exciting to drive down the road and say to myself, We’re still here—thanks to all of your prayer and financial support! Because of you, we have reached another milestone this year since coming to Northwest England. Our 700th soul came to Christ—13 saved so far this year! Please be in prayer for us, as we have seen a slight drop in monthly financial support. If you receive our letters, you should hear from me this year to see if you still are receiving our letters and how things are with you.
The main idea for being on the mission field is the idea of multiplying ourselves. Right now we officially have two men who can cover the pulpit for us if we are out of town. The joy of this is that these men have the potential of becoming more in the future ministry for the Lord. Duplicating ourselves is vital, and we are working diligently in this endeavour!
Speaking of duplication, our son Daniel is doing a wonderful job at Hyles-Anderson. He’s working on his bus route in Chicago in the very same streets that Mary Beth and I visited over two decades ago. He’s hard at work at his job and in his classes and takes it seriously. Josh is becoming a great help in King’s Kids Club on Sunday night and helps greatly in the ushering and serving. Jeremy is working hard in his piano practice and is already accompanying us in hymns at the Wednesday night Bible study. It truly is a joy to watch our children move forward in their service for the Lord.
Just recently, Mary Beth’s mother went home to be with the Lord. Thanks so much for your prayers and kindnesses as we are going through this valley. Unfortunately, to add to this, Mary Beth herself was recently involved in a bicycle accident and badly fractured her left leg. This might mean knee- replacement surgery. Please continue to pray for her, as she is expected to spend the next two to three weeks in the hospital. This is not an easy time for our family, but we are trusting God to see us through. Thanks to those of you who pray and give financially to our ministry here in England. We plan to stay for the long haul and need your continued help as we do. God bless you!
Yours for souls,
The Solt Family
