Truly our hearts are thrilled with excitement about what God is doing through this great ministry of which you have a great part. Words cannot express how grateful we are for all your faithfulness in your love, prayers, and support that are helping us to reach precious souls for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.
My friends, I have always believed and have mentioned before that the Spanish-speaking countries are, for the most part, very open to the Gospel of Christ, and if we could raise up more evangelists to preach Christ to the multitudes, then we could see a great harvest of souls for the Lord. Therefore, I was very excited when I was once again invited to do an evangelistic campaign in the country of El Salvador with Pastor Gonzalez. The Lord blessed and provided the time and the finances to do so. The evangelistic campaign was for about seven days, and we were able to preach the Gospel of Christ in four to six public schools every weekday.
The exciting news is that we had the opportunity to preach the Gospel to over 6,000 people; and, praise the Lord, over 5,000 people indicated that they were trusting Christ as their Saviour. Wow! To God be all the glory! Remember, Jesus said, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
Now, of course, discipleship and follow-up are very difficult when you preach in a school, because you are limited in what you can say and do; but, praise the Lord, they will allow you to talk about the fact that Jesus loves them and gave His life so that they might have eternal life. Now we were able to give out thousands and thousands of portions of the Scripture to the students, and we know that the Lord says that His Word shall not return unto Him void. Oh, the Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword!
Once again, my heart was truly burdened and stirred during this trip. As I mentioned, I believe many Spanish-speaking countries are open to the Gospel of Christ, and many will allow you to preach in their public schools. So, when you consider that the majority of the people in these countries are under the age of 20, then it could be possible to preach the Gospel to literally millions and millions of people. Please pray fervently that the Lord would raise up more than 300 fiery evangelists to take the Gospel of Christ to the Spanish world and, for that matter, to the whole world, as the Lord Jesus has commanded us to do.
We are so grateful for the many different ways you invest in our lives so we can invest in the lives of others by giving them the truth that can set them free. I would ask that you would please pray for the overall health of our family, physically, mentally, and spiritually, and that God would use us in a greater way for the furtherance of the Gospel. Thank you so much for helping us to reach precious souls for the Lord Jesus Christ.
