Daniel Wilder Prayer Letter: The Prayer of FaithWendy is a young teenage girl who was reached through our Bus Ministry. After she started coming for a short time, she brought her mom to church with her. Wendy’s mom Sandra asked me if I could talk to her husband about salvation because he was not saved. I had the opportunity to witness to him, but he did not get saved. I told him that the Lord had impressed upon my heart to pray for his salvation, because the Lord was going to save him. This was the first time I had ever said this to anyone, but after reading about Charles Finney and the prayer of faith, I really felt the Lord was leading me to pray for him because the Lord was going to save him. I prayed for him every day for two months. Then one Sunday morning, he came to church with his wife and daughter. I will never forget that next Sunday when he raised his hand for salvation during the invitation, and I had the privilege of leading him to the Lord.

Johanna is a lady who has come to our church off and on for the last six years. During that time she asked the Lord to save her and got baptized in our church. However, she thought that when she sinned, she would lose her salvation. I could never really get her to understand the doctrine of eternal security and that her salvation did not depend on her keeping God´s commandments. One day she witnessed a murder and feared for her life because the killer saw her. She thought, “If I die right now, I will go to Hell.” This drove her to come to church. During the invitation, she raised her hand for salvation. One of the young ladies in our church witnessed to her, and Johanna said, “I now understand that my salvation does not depend on my works and what I do, but what Jesus did for me.” She put her faith in Christ for salvation and was truly saved.

We just finished up our annual missions conference. We are very grateful to Bro. Darrell Moore for taking time out of his schedule to preach for us. He was such a blessing to our people. Our Faith Promise has gone way up this year, and we are able to support two new missionaries.

Please pray for Iglesia Bautista Libertad in Parramos, Chimaltenango. The work there has been growing, and many people have been saved. Pray that the people would be faithful and grow spiritually.

Pray also for Hector and Gaby Pivaral, as they will be starting a church this year in Santa Rosa. We are very excited to help them get this church started. Pray for them, as they will be visiting churches here in Guatemala to try to raise much-needed support.

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support. We are very pleased with what the Lord is doing here in Guatemala. Without you it would not be possible.

His for souls,

Daniel and Misty Wilder, Lydia, Charity, Emily, Hannah, and Serenity
