Thank you, dear friend, for taking the time to read our first prayer letter! As I write this, my heart swells with joy and praise for our heavenly Father! All glory to Him now and forever!
We started off July with a variety of deputation preparatory tasks, including proofing our prayer card, launching our website (solts2england.com) and social media pages, and gathering the final elements for our prayer letter. We can’t thank the team of FBMI enough for their investment of time and energy into our ministry!
Mid-July, we joined FBMI for their Missions University. Missionaries Mark Holmes and Dave Maskey were a great encouragement to us as they spoke about church planting and multiplication. The Holy Spirit’s presence was felt, and the knowledge that was shared with us was priceless.
The following Sunday night, we were commissioned during the Sunday night service by the people of First Baptist Church of Hammond (FBC). For the past seven years, we have been members of FBC, and many lasting friendships have been made. We are humbled to start the journey that many heroes of the faith have trod! Thank you, Pastor Wilkerson and FBC, for investing in us and for loving us!
In July, we saw two souls saved during outreach! One story I would like to share with you is of Orlando’s salvation. While in Chicago, God led us into the path of Orlando as he was walking in the local park with his two children. As I began to give him the Gospel, he showed confusion that his good works wouldn’t get him to Heaven. However, when he saw the Scriptures, especially John 3, and how Christ told Nicodemus that he must be born again, Orlando bowed his head and trusted Christ. After his decision, we connected him to a friend of ours who attends a church in his neighborhood, and we are praying that he gets plugged in. He texted me later in the day and thanked me for presenting Christ to him! All praise to Him!
Also in July, we began booking meetings and are overjoyed by the kindness of many pastors who have taken our calls/emails. Our little princess Ruby has figured out how to explore! She has mastered the art of the army crawl, how to sit up, and how to chew her toys. She is such a joy to us, and we would appreciate prayers for her salvation and health as we travel.
