Daniel and Erin Lang Prayer Letter: Starting Institutes!I’m grateful for the opportunity to be able to update people about the work that God has called us to do! The thought struck me recently that there are many people all around the world who are being faithful to the work that God has given them to do, but their efforts go unnoticed. I just want to encourage you by reminding you that God sees your work and is pleased with you—stay faithful!

I mentioned in our last prayer letter that I would have the opportunity to travel and help church plants start Bible institutes so that they can further train their people. I want to say thank you to the three individuals who have given toward this need. So far, I’ve traveled with Evangelist Tunde, a national, and we’ve been able to start institutes at two different churches. In March, we traveled to Oron, Akwa-Ibom State. We were able to go early and do some outreach. We saw many souls saved, had around 10 first-time visitors in the morning service, and had 4 students enrolled for the first class. I’ve been told that they now have 7 students enrolled. At the beginning of this month, we traveled to Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. There were 7 first-time visitors in the morning service. On Sunday night, we conducted the first class. There were 30 people enrolled! Please pray that the pastors and students at these institutes would stay faithful! There are many churches in Nigeria that were started by men who received their training in the institute. We have two more institutes scheduled to start in May and June. Please pray for God to continue to work! Thanks for your prayers!

Our family is doing well. We are currently in the hottest part of the year here, though it should be coming to an end soon. Ezekiel and Gianna are both growing and staying healthy. Erin had the opportunity to speak at a Ladies’ Conference this month, which went well. She has also been taking sign language lessons for the last few weeks and is progressing rapidly. Please pray for us, as we will be starting language lessons this month. We will be learning the Hausa language, which is one of the regional languages here.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support! We know that it takes folks like you to send folks like us.

In His service,

Daniel, Erin, Ezekiel, and Gianna Lang
