Christopher Yetzer Prayer Letter: John and RomansTypically, we find an abundance of people out and about with whom we are able to create conversations and share the Gospel. In the spring, we started doing some distribution of John and Romans door to door in the area around our church. But with so many people being gone in August, we thought it would not be wise to fill so many mailboxes with “advertising,” which would just be thrown away by the porter before anyone got back from vacation. Instead of splitting the time with confrontational soul winning and mailbox distribution, we just took the whole time for confrontational soul winning, with a bit of time at the park and some ice cream for the kids afterwards.

Now that schools are started (most of the schools in Milan started on September 12) and everyone has returned, we are getting some more tracts printed so that they can be put into the John and Romans. We also have another church member who recently joined us for soul winning for the first time. He will be a big help in carrying John and Romans, as we do not have a car and have to transport them all by backpack.

In August, we were given a financial gift designated for a vacation. It was our first true family vacation in about three years. We were able to go up to Chiavenna in Northern Lombardy. It was such an enjoyable time for our whole family to be able to breathe the fresh air and experience God’s beautiful nature for several days. There were no honking horns, trash trucks, or ambulances—just the sound of the river running through the center of town.

Our family has been busy getting ready for and starting school. William is in seventh grade, AnnMarie is in third grade, and Charlotte is gleaning the basics from her loving mother. Everyone has been fairly healthy, which is truly a blessing. We have also been gathering documents and information for citizenship again. For a while, it looked like it might not be possible, but now we have almost all the documents and just need some certifications and translations. Please pray that the rest of the process will go smoothly and that we can accomplish everything needed before we have to renew our permissions to stay here next summer.

We try to include pictures for those who get our prayer letters by email. If you currently get this by mail and would like to have us start emailing our updates to you, please let us know.
