Charlie Vest Prayer Letter: A.W.B.M. Burmese Pastors' ConferenceDear Praying Friends and Faithful Supporters,

In just a few days, I will be leaving for a three-week trip to Thailand and Burma. I am excited to have as my companions Bro. Darrell Bolton, Dr. Bob Bowen, and Dr. Mark Bosje. We will be visiting many national pastors and missionaries, and we will be holding our 2nd A.W.B.M. Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference in Yangoon from March 4-11. Please pray for our safety and that God will work mightily during all of the meetings we will hold.

Recently I have been able to raise funds for shipping another container of Bibles, and I am looking forward to distributing them to the pastors there in Burma. We were also able to help our Filipino brethren by raising funds to rebuild a few churches that were destroyed by Typhoon Yolanda in November 2013. News has just reached me that a mission church we built on a hacienda near Bacolod City will need to be relocated due to the owner selling the land. Please pray that we can raise the funds (about US$1,500) to help build a new native church building.

This winter up North has been a real challenge just keeping up with the snow and cold. We are looking forward to traveling to more meetings this spring and summer and still have open dates through the summer especially. We are now making plans for our family to return to the Philippines at the end of the year for an extended visit and many meetings. Please pray that God will provide $6,000 for the plane fare and travel expenses for this upcoming mission trip.

We are so thankful for many who have sent special gifts in the past six months, enabling us to provide for our A.W.B.M. church planters and projects. The need is still great, with five or six new men still needing monthly support. There is also an opportunity for help with Cambodian national pastors and some orphan children in Burma.

Brianna has been doing great with her homeschooling and is working very hard on learning the piano. Kay is still struggling with her health, and we would appreciate your prayers that we may find out how to get her well soon.

Thanks again for your personal support and prayers for us and for Asian World Baptist Ministries.
