Fundamental Baptist Church of Barekuma
We conducted a special baptism service last Saturday in Barekuma. Four new converts followed the Lord in baptism! It has been a great encouragement to see growth in many of our church members.
One of those who got baptized was Bempah Owusu. Bempah had been attending a Charismatic church in Barekuma. He even taught Sunday school in the church. Each Sunday he would walk past the school where our church meets and see our banner hanging out front. He decided to visit our church to see what it was like.
After the service Bro. Thomas Moah, who conducts our Sunday service, visited Bempah at his house. He showed Bempah from the Bible that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Bempah then prayed with Bro. Thomas to receive Christ!
Bempah has been coming to our church ever since. He enrolled in our Bible college in February and has a desire to serve the Lord! He is going through our discipleship lessons and has been coming soul winning on Saturday afternoons with Bro. Thomas Moah and me.
Please pray for Thomas Moah, Bempah Owusu, and Thomas Opoku. All three of these men from Barekuma are attending our Bible college and have a desire to serve the Lord.
In my last prayer letter, I mentioned the opportunity we had to purchase a half acre of land for our church. I want to praise the Lord that through personal giving, our members’ giving, and through the gifts of supporters, we have been able to raise GH2,500 cedis, which is 50% of the land cost! Thank you so much to those of you who have promised to give to this need. Please pray that God will provide the remaining GH2,500 cedis (about US$1,000) for this land. Thank you for your prayers and for partnering with us!
