Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference
August 13-16, we conducted our 13th Annual Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference. Our theme was “The Great Commission.” Pastor Wilkerson from the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, was our guest speaker, and he taught many sessions on the topic of discipleship. His teaching, along with his personal example, was a great challenge to all who attended the conference. We had many sessions on the topic of soul winning. Pastor Speer taught soul winning to those who understood English, and we had a few of our Ghanaian staff and a Ghanaian pastor teach soul winning to our delegates who spoke Twi. We also gave a pen drive to every paid delegate with several videos of soul-winning instruction on it taught by Pastor Speer. (NOTE: I highly recommend this soul-winning training. If you are interested in getting it, please send me an email, and I will find a way to get it to you.) We thank the Lord for the great work He did in the hearts of many who attended our conference!
Trip to Sierra Leone
I was able to take a trip to Sierra Leone August 27-September 3 for a Youth Conference. I taught there on the topics of salvation and sexual purity. I was also able to give a copy of my book on purity to all the young people who came. A few of the youth trusted Christ as their Saviour, and several made a public commitment to seek to live a life of sexual purity. It was a great blessing to teach such receptive young people!
My family and I are currently in the USA on a three-month furlough. We have had really great meetings so far! Please pray that God will use us to be a blessing to the people we minister to while we are in the States.
