Charles and Lindsey Osgood Prayer Letter: Helping Singles to Serve GodThank you for your faithful financial and prayer support!

Singles’ Department

It is a blessing to serve as the singles’ director of our church! We were able to conduct a singles’ activity on July 16, and many of our church’s single adults participated. We were also blessed to have two weddings in the last three months for two couples who met their mates in our church. Michael and Cynthia were married in May. Michael has graduated from our Bible college and is now leading one of our daughter churches. David and Edna were married in June. They both work as teachers in our Christian school. David started coming to church on my bus route over 10 years ago. Praise the Lord for fruit that remains! Please pray for Lindsey and me to have wisdom to lead these precious young adults.

Converts and Disciples

In the last two months, God has allowed me to lead 16 souls to Christ through personal soul winning. On July 2, while I was witnessing to a young man at a university, another student named Frederick walked up and seemed very interested in what I was doing. He waited for me to finish talking with the first young man, and then he allowed me to preach the Gospel to him. He was so excited to learn that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and he readily trusted Christ! He came to church the next day and followed the Lord in baptism. Please pray for Frederick to grow.

In June, a man named Marcus Kudiabor visited my Sunday school class. One of our church members witnessed to him after the service, and he trusted Christ as his Saviour. Marcus has since been faithful to all three church services each week. I have been meeting with him each week to work through our discipleship lessons with him; he is so eager to learn! A few weeks ago, Pastor Speer and I visited him at his house. I was able to lead his son Mawuena to Christ, and Pastor Speer was able to lead his daughter to Christ and share the Gospel with his wife Ethel. Please pray for Marcus to continue to grow, and pray that his family would be established in the faith and follow him to church.

Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference

We will be conducting our 15th Annual Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference August 9–12. Our theme this year is “Exploring Music.” Please pray that God will use this conference to help all who attend to glorify God in their personal music, as well as in the music we sing in our churches. We will also have sessions on leadership, soul winning, how to build your church, and other topics. Please pray that God’s servants will be equipped, inspired, and challenged to go and do more for Him.

In Christ,

Charles, Lindsey, and Josiah Osgood
