Caleb and Emily Christiansen Prayer Letter: Jesus Loves MeRecently, Emma’s favorite song has been “Jesus Loves Me.” She’ll sing it in the car, while playing with her toys, while coloring, or while she’s doing anything really. So, hearing her little voice singing her own version of “Jesus Loves Me” has been a constant in our lives. It honestly has been such a great reminder to me of the simplicity of the Gospel, how Christ gave everything for us because He loves us. We are so privileged to be tasked with sharing this Gospel in Nigeria.

That Gospel makes all the difference in the world, as I was reminded when I saw a teenager named David saved. When I asked him how he knew he was going to Heaven, he just said, “I’m good,” meaning that he always did his best to do good. I was worried that his confidence in himself would cause him to ignore what the Bible said, but at each step, he would agree with what the Bible said, even though he did have questions along the way. He even began to smile as he began to understand that salvation was a gift and not something he had to do good things for. He chose to believe in Christ, and he gave another big smile as I explained eternal security to him. Please pray that David will become faithful to church and grow.

The Ladies’ Training time that Emily has been leading has been going very well. A group of about 15 ladies continues to meet to receive teaching and training on various topics. God has even used it to bring a new lady into the church. One of our faithful ladies was coming back from soul winning on the Saturday that Ladies’ Training was being held and met a lady along the way, close to the church. The topic of the Ladies’ Training came up, and she decided to follow our member back to the church to attend. She has come for every Ladies’ Training since and also comes regularly to our church services.

Some of you have been asking about a physical mailing address, and I’m glad to say that we finally have a P.O. Box here! It took some time, but we do have a place where mail can be sent. That address is:

P.O. Box 5327
Garki-Abuja FCT 90001
Nigeria

If anyone does want to send us something in the mail, besides just a letter, I would ask that you contact us first. There are some things that are not wise to send internationally, especially since our mail is prone to be looked through. Of course, you can also still send any mail to our missions agency, and they will get it to us.

As always, thank you so much for your regular prayers and support. We would not be able to do what we do here without your giving and praying.

That all the world may know,

Caleb Christiansen
