Brendan and Karin Morgan Prayer Letter: Flying Through Fall!We have so much that has happened during these past couple of months that we cannot possibly cover all of it. God has been so good to keep our family safe during the many miles we have traveled. I have also personally flown many miles during this season.

At the end of August, I flew from Indiana to North Carolina for a quick Missions Conference. I then flew back to Indiana, and we spent the first Sunday of September in Michigan. After a few days at home, we drove to Louisville, Kentucky, for a fantastic Missions Conference. Immediately after that, I flew by myself to Victoria, Texas, for another great Missions Conference, and then immediately after that, I met my wife for another Missions Conference in Columbus, Ohio! All of the churches we (and I) visited were so gracious to us. One extra special praise is that while in Texas, a young man named Ricardo approached me to ask about my rental car. I gave him the details and was also able to provide the details on how he could receive eternal life. After a lengthy discussion, Ricardo prayed and asked Christ to save him! All praise be to God!

On September 22, we went to the offices of FBMI for our Preliminary Exit Interview. This time with the FBMI staff is beneficial to plan our eventual departure to Japan properly, Lord willing, in March 2023 and identify any areas we may need to consider. We then drove to Chesterton, Indiana, to visit a young lady who used to attend our church as a little girl. Her family eventually moved to Mexico, but she came and stayed with our family for about six months while attending high school in 2018. She is attending Bible college and has expressed interest in coming on a missions trip to Japan once we get to the field!

From there, we drove to Geneseo, Illinois, for a meeting on Sunday to start a busy week! We had a Missions Conference in Missouri on Monday and Tuesday, and I flew to California for two more meetings on Wednesday and Thursday! I then flew home to Indiana just in time for us to drive to the Atlanta, Georgia, area for another Missions Conference from Sunday to Wednesday and then back to Evansville, Indiana, for a conference from Thursday to Sunday!

We finished off October with a trip to California and Oregon. We all flew from St. Louis, Missouri, to Sacramento, California. We were able to spend a couple of days at our home church, Regency Baptist Church, as well as spend some time with our friends and family. For the final two weeks of October, we drove to Southern California for a Missions Conference, back to Sacramento for a couple of days, on to the Portland, Oregon area, then back to Sacramento once again, then to Southern California again, and finally back to Sacramento. I am writing this letter as we are flying “home” to Indiana via St. Louis, Missouri (phew!).

We have been very active! Still, we have been incredibly blessed and encouraged by the many churches where we have had the privilege of presenting our ministry. There is not enough space to list all of the blessings we have received! We are now at about 91% of our needed support, with several meetings left for 2022 and several in January and February of 2023. Lord willing, we plan to be ready to move to the field in March of 2023. Our fellow FBMI missionary, Bro. Go Oishi, has been indispensable in helping us work with the Senri Newtown Baptist Church in Osaka, Japan, to submit the paperwork needed to obtain our visas to stay in Japan. We praise the Lord for the testimonies and labor for the Gospel of Go and Danielle Oishi in Japan. The church in Japan is also excited and anticipating the arrival of our family.

We are now awaiting our Certificates of Eligibility (COE) to be approved; these are documents that are necessary for our visas. Please pray this will happen before our upcoming trip to Japan in December. My wife and I will be traveling to meet the Senri Newtown Baptist Church staff in Osaka and start preparing for our move in March. Please pray, as we will also be “moving” back to California at the end of November to be near family for the remainder of our deputation. We thank God for His provision during this time, and we are excited because we are nearing the end of deputation and looking forward to arriving on the field and beginning our labors there! Thank you all for your prayers and support!

For His glory,

Brendan Morgan
