Bob Bowen Prayer Letter: O Give Thanks Unto the Lord“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good . . . .” (Psalm 107:1)

We thank the Lord for the 1½ million Thai John & Romans God has provided through Sam Martin and company. We thank the Lord for the first of five containers that will be delivered to our Distribution Center in Thailand the first of January. This container was paid for by the good folks at Second Baptist Church in Festus, Missouri. Our biggest burden right now is raising funds to pay for two more containers that will be loaded in December. Would you please make this need a matter of prayer?

We thank the Lord that the Laotian Scriptures will be printed in Thailand this month. This will be the very first time that the people of Laos will have the Word of God in their own language.

We thank the Lord for Teaching All Nations and for the good men who make it work. We covet your prayers for Dr. Ed Tutton and his family as he battles lung cancer.

Thank the Lord for another good year for B.E.S.T. Missions. Even COVID-19 cannot stop the work of God! We thank God that out of the 70 provinces in Thailand, over 40 of them now have the printed Word of God available to them. When you consider that the Thai people did not even have a King James Bible available to them until 2005, a lot has happened over the past 15 years of working in Southeast Asia. “O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good . . . .”

December 2020

I would like to introduce to you two young men who are being used of God in a very great way. In the picture, the boy on the right is Atitarn (Saint) Jomhong. The boy on the left is Tan Juntasung. I’ve known these boys since 1999.

Saint came to America and graduated from college with a master’s degree. He is now the pastor of a Baptist church in Thailand, married with one son (pictured), and is starting a Bible college in January 2021.

Tan is an assistant pastor, working with Missionary Tim Shook and TEAM THAILAND. He also works as the coordinator for B.E.S.T. Missions Bible Distribution for all of Southeast Asia. He is responsible for receiving all the containers shipped from America and for placing orders for Scriptures printed in Thailand. He coordinates the distribution of Bibles to nearly 100 different churches in Thailand and distributes the 20 discipleship lessons from First Baptist Church in Hammond. Currently, there are 35 different churches using this material to train the next generation of believers.

The picture shows how important it is to invest in the next generation. These two young men were just little boys when I first went to Thailand, and now they are both men of God in their own right. “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (II Timothy 2:2)

I ask that you pray for young men of God, who live on poverty wages, to do the work of God. Please pray for the funds to ship needed materials to Southeast Asia. Thank you for helping us and supporting us through this very difficult year. Without the Lord, we would all be in trouble.

“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good . . . .” (Psalm 107:1)

Into all the world,
