Hurricane Harvey hit Southeast Texas and the city of Houston hard this month. It was in 2011 that a flood destroyed everything we had in Thailand. We lost our home, our new truck, and Scriptures worth thousands of dollars. We literally came back to the States with the clothes on our back. We had to start over, as many now will have to do in Texas. The Lord was faithful and very gracious to get us back on our feet and still serving Him after the past six years. We can truly say, “To God be the glory! Great things He has done!”
I was busy traveling all over Texas the month of August. I was in 10 different churches and 2 different missions conferences. The Lord allowed us to see fruit for our labor. Please pray for our converts to grow in the Lord.
We are currently in need of an additional 15,000 pounds of Scriptures to complete a shipment that is ready to send at the BEAMS Warehouse in Gulfport, Mississippi. I would like to be able to ship this 22nd container to Thailand as soon as possible. Brother Freret and BEAMS has been such a great blessing to thousands of converts all over Southeast Asia.
We covet your prayers, as we both have some physical needs. My wife’s kidney disease has progressed to Stage 5, so she is preparing for home dialysis. While she was in surgery to place the catheter in her belly, the surgeon found a hernia on her stomach, which had to be repaired in order to place the catheter. She is recovering from the surgery and will begin training for home dialysis this month. The goal is to start her treatments on October 9.
I have been having problems with my knees, hips, and back. The doctor says it arthritis, but the Bible calls it old age and just a part of life. I’m like a used car with 200,000 miles on it that needs some repairs!
I would like to ask that you please pray that God would give me wisdom, as I am working on writing a Local Church Missions Manual. I want to help the next generations in the things that God has taught me over 51 years of service to Him.
