Bob and Jacqueline Bowen Prayer Letter: Still Going StrongTan Juntasunj turned 25 years old on July 1. Tan is the Scripture-Distribution Manager for BEST Missions in Thailand. I’ve known Tan since he was three years old. Tan also serves on staff at International Baptist Church in Hua Hin, Thailand. Tim Shook is the pastor and leader of FBMI’s Team Thailand

Tan is one of the finest young men I know in Thailand. Please do not tell him this, but he is worth a million dollars to me and BEST Missions. He has delivered millions of Scriptures in Southeast Asia. He is also in need of a pickup to use. He has literally worn out his little car, which went through the flood last year. If you would be willing to help BEST Missions with purchasing a good used truck, it would be much appreciated. You can send any amount to BEST Missions, 1599 West Olive Street, Rogers, AR 72756. Please note that it is for “Tan’s truck.”

I was able to present the work of BEST Missions to a church that is over 150 years old, The Old Country Church at Lafayette, Texas. This church is in the middle of nowhere. My good friend, David Jackson, has been the pastor there for a year now. They had 63 the Sunday I was there, with 3 baptisms. What a blessing it was to be there! Glory! The church is still going strong for the Lord and still using the KJB!

I wanted to let you know about our 6th Annual BEST Missions Bible Conference coming up on September 4 & 5 at Colonial Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas. There is a good lineup of preachers again this year. Please look at the brochure.

Supper will be at 5:30 every evening, with services starting at 6:30 p.m. The Tuesday morning service begins at 9:00. Lunch will also be provided after the morning services. This year, we will be receiving an offering for the Laotian Bible Project. If you are planning to come and would like to know about hotel discounts, please contact Dr. Curtis Hall by phone at 812.205.8326 or by email at bestmissions.org. I am looking forward to seeing you all at the meeting.

On August 1, I took my wife for her regular checkup in Dallas. Everything is still good, and she is doing wonderful after her kidney transplant. Her nose has also healed from the cancer surgery. Thank you so much for praying for her quick recovery.

I was asked to present the ministry of BEST Missions at the East Texas Baptist Fellowship in Texarkana, Texas. I always look forward to being there with some of my old friends and hearing them preach the Word of God.

Please continue to pray for the need of Scriptures around the world. Thank you for all your prayers and support down through the years. You are truly a blessing to the work of the Lord. We love you folks!

Into all the world,

Brother Bowen
