Ben Turner Prayer Letter: Thank You for 20-Plus Years in the Vancouver Area! Our latest update is definitely a very special one. Our family would like to express our thanks and appreciation to each supporting church and individual that has given and or prayed for us over the last 20-plus years. On May 12, 2000, the Turner family arrived here in the Vancouver area. We are giving God all the glory for what He has done in and through us since arriving here. It is also on the forefront of our minds that without each one of you, the journey would not have been the same. Please know that we love you and thank God for you.

Over the last 10 weeks, ministry around the globe has seen a drastic change for most. You have probably been reading this in every missionary letter. 😊 We are rejoicing in all that the Lord has allowed us to be involved in during this time. Before the shutdown, we did not have a livestream ministry. Now, we do! Before the shutdown, I would not have thought about enrolling in a master’s program. Now, I am! Before the shutdown, I was not planning to preach in a Youth Conference in the Philippines. Well, it was a privilege to be a part the first Online Baptist Youth Conference of the Philippines. Before the shutdown, Zoom only meant “to move quickly.” Now, we have used this platform to continue the discipleship of new Christians, as well as connect with our missionaries. Becky has been able to disciple three different Persian ladies during the shutdown! She started with two of them prior to the shutdown. They have both finished, and now she is starting with one more. To God be all the glory!

At this point, the building we are renting is not available to us. We will find out sometime in June when we will be allowed to get back to in-person services. In the meantime, we will move forward by God’s grace. One way we are moving forward is by having a Gospel Tract Initiative. We can mail Gospel tracts for just under $.20 Canadian. Last week, we mailed 4,000 tracts into apartment buildings. This week, we will be mailing 2,000. If you would like to help with this project, you can mark the gift “Tract Mailing.” Our plan is to continue this for the summer months.

In closing, please pray for the following:

• The church we are renting from to allow us back into the building
• God would supply needed funds to mail thousands of Gospel tracts
• 19th Anniversary of Anchor Baptist Church on June 7.
We are blessed to serve the King of Kings!
