Ben Turner Prayer Letter: Rejoice in the Lord AlwayA verse of Scripture that continues to challenge and encourage me is Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” I am sure this isn’t the first time you have read or heard this verse of Scripture. The imprisoned Apostle Paul’s words continue to give us exactly what we need when we need it.

Anchor Baptist Church has once again been having livestream church services, only since November 15. We were able to meet in person from mid-August until that Sunday. We are thankful to the Lord for continuing to do His work in and through us in spite of not meeting together as we would like.

Four precious souls have been saved this month! I was driving home from the office one day, and Tyler called me. Tyler received a Gospel tract two years ago and was calling because he said, “I am ready to accept Jesus Christ as my Saviour.” I can honestly say that I have never had a telephone call quite like this one. I pulled over so I could share the Gospel with Tyler, and he got saved! This challenged me once again to plant the seed of the Gospel faithfully by way of tracts. I would like to encourage each of you to keep passing out tracts or start now. God always brings the increase.

I would like to leave you with several specific prayer requests. Please pray . . .

• That restrictions in British Columbia would ease and that in-person services would be allowed.
• That renovations on our 900-square-feet meeting space would be completed by the end of the month. The space would provide room for 35-40 people to meet.
• For our RU ministry, which is starting in February.
• For our daughter Brianna, who is getting married on March 20 in Washington State.

Twenty-four years ago this week, we visited Vancouver for the first time. We are thankful to the Lord for His provision and for your part in His harvest field.

Rejoicing,

Ben Turner
