Ben Turner Prayer Letter: 2014 Winter UpdateI apologize for the delay in getting this letter out to each of you. I have attempted to do email updates every other month and a prayer letter every quarter. Please let me know if you are not receiving the email updates.

It seems redundant to say, but I cannot believe we are already into the last month of 2014. God has poured out His blessings on us here in the Vancouver area. One particular blessing is the Sunday evening Discipleship Class. We started this class in the fall, and we meet every Sunday at 5 p.m.

There are anywhere from 10‒15 adults in attendance each week. Praise the Lord for the spiritual growth of these new Christians! Pawan and Harmin, the Indian couple I mentioned in our previous letter, are working on reaching many of their friends and family with the Gospel. Just last Sunday Harmin’s father, Jasbir Sandhar, attended the morning service for the second week in a row. Please pray for his heart to be open to the Gospel! Harmin also brought her friend Cathy. Cathy indicated in the invitation that she was not saved. Please pray for her salvation. Both of these individuals have a Sikh background when it comes to religion.

This year, our Christmas program, Peanut Butter Christmas, is being held Sunday evening, December 21. We have printed 4,000 invitations to deliver within the community. Please make this special event a matter of prayer as we seek to continue to share the Gospel!

Turner1Turner2Our church is rejoicing in that we baptized three converts in the last month. What an encouragement it is to see people make this very important decision. Andrew has been saved for many years, but he had never been Scripturally baptized. Becky and I are meeting with Tracy on a weekly basis, going through discipleship. Becky had the privilege of leading Tracy to the Lord in late October. Joshua got saved in November. His family are faithful members of Anchor Baptist.

As a follow-up to our last letter, we have six people that will complete the semester in the Bible Institute, and there were many blessings from VBS back in August! Thank you for praying!

Our family would like to thank each one of you for praying for us and the ministry God has given us. We are quickly approaching the 15-year mark of living here in the Vancouver area. We for sure have made it this far as a result of God’s people praying!!

Merry Christmas!
