At the time of this writing, I am in the States to give my daughter Sara away in marriage and to attend to some urgent personal business here. I am grateful to you for your faithful prayers and support, and I am grateful to God for keeping us on the field in Guatemala.
New Church Intern
About 12 years ago, I baptized a young man here whose name is Luis Damian. Soon after being baptized, Luis started attending another independent Baptist church in Guatemala City. While involved at that church, Bro. Luis began studying for the ministry and completed his studies. Now Bro. Luis is back with us here in Piedra Parada Cristo Rey and has become one of our interns. I have confidence in Bro. Luis Damian and his valuable contribution to this ministry, and I believe that God will use him greatly here in Guatemala.
I am also glad to report that God has added another family to our soul-winning team here in Cristo Rey! Last February, the Santos-Gomez family made the vital decision to obey our Lord’s command to preach the Gospel from house to house in their home village every Saturday at the same time. This is a great victory for our church and for the Guatemalan people. We look forward to seeing God’s blessings. Glory to God!
Please pray for Angel Alvarado, a Christian businessman here in Guatemala who is interested in helping us start a new church in the heavily populated village of El Porvenir, Villa Canales, Guatemala.
Believe me when I say that we would not have made it this far without your prayers. God keeps opening doors here because of your prayers!

En el momento de escribir esta carta estoy en el U.S. para hablar con mi hija Sara, acerca de su matrimonio y poder resolver un problema personal urgente. Estoy muy agradecido con cada uno de ustedes por sus oraciones y su ayuda fiel, También agradecido con Dios por mantenernos en el campo misionero de Guatemala.
Un Asistente Nuevo en la Iglesia
Hace 12 años bauticé un joven cuyo nombre es Luis Damián. Después de haber sido bautizado asistió a una iglesia bautista fundamental en la ciudad de Guatemala. Mientras participaba en esa iglesia, el hermano Luis comenzó a estudiar para el ministerio y completo sus estudios. Ahora el hermano Luis está de Vuelta con nosotros aquí en Cristo Rey, Piedra Parada, y se ha convertido en uno de nuestros internos. Tengo confianza en el hermano Luis Damián por su valioso aporte a este ministerio, y creo que Dios lo usara grandemente aquí en Guatemala.
¡También me complace informar que Dios ha agregado otra familia a nuestro equipo ganador de almas en Cristo Rey! En febrero pasado, la familia Santos Gomez tomo la decisión vital de obedecer el mandato de nuestro Señor de predicar el Evangelio de casa en casa con toda su familia, en El Rosario, todos los sábados a la misma hora. Esta es una gran Victoria para nuestra iglesia y para el pueblo guatemalteco. ¡Esperamos ver las bendiciones de Dios, Gloria a Dios!
