Andrew Long Prayer Letter: A Nice Place in a Great Location!“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”
(Psalm 107:8)

Praise the Lord! God has really blessed us; He gave us a nice place in a great location. These last two months have gone by so fast. We made the move to Chom Thong and rolled up our sleeves and went to work. Painting, plumbing, and electrical were all part of our activities, making ready the new place. We still need to wall the front in, as it currently has three roll-up metal doors, and we need to purchase one air conditioning unit. These two things will cost about $2,500. We are praying for the Lord’s provision.

We have been busy passing out tracts, meeting folks, and searching for an interpreter. Please pray for an interpreter so that we will be able to share the wonderful words of God with these dear people. I know God will provide, as He has answered so many prayers already. Lord willing, we plan to have our first service on the 11th of August.

It is amazing the things that God knows but we don’t. Sumet, the man whom we were on the way to see when we found this city, lives only 30 miles from here. He and his family live on the mountain. The schools in the mountains only go through sixth grade, so if the children are going to get more education, they go to the schools in the cities. Most of the children live in the cities during the school year. It turns out that Sumet’s daughter Hannah lives in Chom Thong and goes to school 10 minutes from the church.

Things are a lot quieter now that our nest is empty. Gideon is in the U.S. now and already has two jobs. He is making preparations to begin Bible college this fall. Joseph, Soso, and Andrew are now in India. Joseph has been helping AJ, and they have been busy spreading the Gospel. Joseph preached at the church in AJ’s home. Afterward, he called me and said, “Dad, they have to get a building; there is no more room.” AJ’s mother and father-in-law have donated a small piece of land on which to build a church building. AJ’s wife Sanjana and her family were among my first converts in India. Hallelujah for the Cross!

Please pray for Soso, as her health has been up and down. Now that they are in India, her health has gone down again. Joseph needs to get to the U.S. to get a job so they can complete her paperwork for her to be able to live in the U.S. They want to come to the U.S. to raise support to go back to India to do a work for the Lord.

Thank you for all your faithful prayers and support!

Yours for His harvest,

Andrew Long
