Andrew and Laura Steers Prayer Letter: His Promises Never Fail!Isaiah 41:10 – “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” This verse is one we have claimed over and over again, realizing our great need of the Lord and His strength. Praise the Lord, His promises never fail!

While we are here on medical furlough, a few pastors of supporting churches have invited me to speak, even though I am not seeking meetings. In October, we went to a church near Chicago, another church a couple of hours away, and a Missions Conference at a church near Laura’s home area. Laura made the trips with me between treatments, but the travelling was tiring for her. It was a blessing to be in these churches and meet so many who are praying for Laura’s healing. I am thankful for the opportunities the Lord gave me to preach His Word.

Besides making visits through the organized soul winning of the church, we go soul winning as our health permits. We were knocking on doors in an apartment complex recently and met Alexis, a lovely young single mom. She was very kind and happy to learn how she could go to Heaven. Before we even got to the last point, she asked how she could get that gift. Praise the Lord! She bowed her head and trusted Christ a few minutes later. She is excited about coming to church, but illness and other circumstances have hindered her. Eric and Monica, the brother and sister we have mentioned previously, want to come to church but are caregivers for their mother.

My visa to be here in the States with Laura expired on Sunday, so I had to leave the country. We made a last-minute trip to Canada over the weekend and were able to return on Monday. Many people were praying, and we definitely saw the Lord help us with this miraculous answer to prayer. Laura needs me to care for her as she continues her chemotherapy, so we are very thankful for this outcome.

Please Pray for:

1. More souls saved and visitors to church.
2. Complete healing for Laura. Her cancer marker has gone down, which is a good sign. We are eager to get back to the field of Australia. We have tickets to fly back May 1, 2023, Lord willing.
3. Wisdom for the doctors seeking to help my mobility. My right knee is bone on bone. I have had gel injections, consulted with a prosthetic specialist, and am now being referred to a physical therapist.

My wife and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2023. We are so grateful for your prayers on our behalf and for your faithful support through the years.

In and through the love of Christ, our wondrous Saviour,

Brother Andrew L. Steers
