Andrew and Denise Long Prayer Letter: Praise the Lord for His Goodness and for His Wonderful Works!“Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day.” (Psalm 71:8)

Praise the LORD for His goodness and for all His wonderful works!! We have several things to praise the Lord for in this letter. Our youngest son Gideon graduated from Bible college and is seeking God’s direction in his life. Joseph, our eldest son, and his wife purchased land in India to build an orphanage. They are now praying for the funds to build. He has a great desire to go back to India and work with the church there, as well as to have an orphanage. He is in a seemingly impossible situation. He really needs the God of the impossible to come through on this one. Please pray for him and Soso. They already have nine children to care for.

My wife’s health is up and down. She is struggling now with a lot of pain in her joints and muscles. The doctor told us the type of cancer she had is very aggressive and usually transfers to the bones and/or the brain. Because of this, they did another bone scan, and it still shows no sign of active cancer. Praise the Lord! Her breathing has greatly improved. Also, the blood clot that was in her lung is gone, and she doesn’t need to take blood thinners any longer. Overall, she is doing much better except for the muscle and joint pain. Thank you for all your prayers for her!

An interesting thing happened while out knocking on doors. We had left a tract on a door and were two houses down the street when a lady came out, calling to us. We went back, and she apologized for not answering the door. Noticing the lady was from Asia, I asked where she was from. To which she replied, “Thailand.” When I began speaking in Thai, she held up her arm and said, “Look at the goose bumps; you are speaking my language.” She was so happy. “How is it that you can speak Thai?” To which I replied, “I live in Thailand.” She was so excited and invited us into her home. We graciously accepted, and we enjoyed talking for a good while. I then asked of her salvation, and she replied that she had been attending a Baptist church but did not know if she would go to Heaven. She said, “I want to go, but I don’t know if I will. I think I might.” Then over the next few minutes, I led her through the Scriptures in both English and Thai and showed her how she could know with certainty that she would go to Heaven, and in a little while, Kat Kao bowed her head and called on the Lord Jesus for salvation. She has been attending church with us. Isn’t it amazing that when someone has accepted the light they have, God always sends them more light. I love it when I get to be that light bearer.

Thank you for all your faithful prayers and support!

Yours for His harvest,

Andrew Long
