Andres and Dora Amoros Prayer Letter: Anniversary Marathon 2023

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14)

This was the great announcement of the angels, before the great event of the incarnation of the Son of God. Let us give glory to God, let us live in peace, and let us pray that the good will of God for the salvation of humanity reaches sinners. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We are surprised at how quickly this year went by. During these last three months, as always, we have been very busy. As I have communicated to you in previous letters, I always remain very active, preaching in many towns and cities on the island. In the month of October, I was preaching for one of our missionaries, Oliver Vázquez, who started the Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Fantino in the city of Fantino in the north of the island, and 35 people received Christ as their Saviour. The pastor told me that several of them are faithfully attending church and serving the Lord. Glory to the Lord forever!

In the month of November, we celebrated the 22nd anniversary of our church. Before the pandemic, we used to celebrate it as our “Anniversary Marathon.” This year, we had our “Anniversary Marathon” again. We planned every Sunday to bring visitors and present the Gospel to them, along with having a Ladies’ Spectacular, a Youth Conference, and a Revival Campaign with Pastor Steve Sidler. Several were saved and baptized as a result of the work of this past month, and many made different decisions at the altar during the invitation. We thank the Lord for the way He worked in the heart of the church and for those who were saved because of our evangelistic efforts.

The new ministry that we started on Kilometer 13 of Haina, in the little beach area (what they call it), is growing. Please pray for Marcial, José, Miguel, Morena, and other new believers who have been attending the Bible study.

To all the brothers and sister who have written to us and who always pray for us, thank you with all my heart. May the Lord reward all those who have sacrificially invested in our ministry according to His riches in glory.

Este fue el gran anuncio de los ángeles, ante el magno evento de la encarnación del hijo de Dios. Demos Gloria a Dios, en lo alto, vivamos en paz; y que la buena voluntad de Dios para la salvación de la humanidad llegue a los pecadores. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Nosotros aquí sorprendidos de lo rápido que transcurrió este año. Estos últimos tres meses como siempre hemos estado muy ocupados. Como les he comunicado en cartas anteriores, siempre me mantengo bien active predicando en muchos pueblos y ciudades de la Isla. El mes de Octubre, estuve predicando para uno de nuestros misioneros Oliver Vázquez, quien empezó la Iglesia Bautista Monte Calvario de Fantino, en la ciudad de Fantino, al norte de la Isla, 35 personas recibieron a Cristo, como su salvador, el Pastor dice que varios de ellos siguen asistiendo fielmente a la iglesia, y están ya sirviendo al Señor. Gloria al Señor por siempre.

El mes de Noviembre, celebramos el 22° Aniversario de nuestra iglesia, antes de la pandemia acostumbrábamos a celebrarlo con el nombre del ¨Maratón¨ este año volvimos a tener nuestro Maratón de Aniversario. Planeamos todos los domingos, traer visitas y presentarles el evangelio, también un espectacular de Damas, un congreso de jóvenes, y una campaña de avivamiento con el Pastor Steve Sidler; varios fueron salvos y bautizados como resultado del trabajo de estos meses, también muchos hicieron diferentes decisiones en la invitación. Agradecemos al Señor por la manera que obró en el corazón de la iglesia, y por aquellos que fueron salvos por todo nuestro esfuerzo evangelistico.

La nueva obra que empezamos en el 13 de Haina, en el sector de la playita está creciendo, favor de orar por: Marcial, José, Miguel, Morena, y otros nuevos creyentes, quienes han estado asistiendo al Estudio Bíblico.

A todos los hermanos que nos han escrito y que siempre oran por nosotros, gracias de todo corazón. A todos aquellos que sacrificialmente han invertido en nuestro ministerio el Señor los remunere conforme a sus riquezas en gloria.
