Andres Amoros Prayer Letter: The Importance of Witnessing to First-Time VisitorsReceive a warm greeting in the name of our glorious Saviour. My wife and I wish that His grace abounds in each of you in a special way.

Honor to the Memory of My Father, Pastor Hugo Ernesto Amorós

The new year has passed, bringing mourning to our family. Recently, my father, Hugo Ernesto Amorós, went to live with the Lord. I thank God for the legacy of love and commitment to the missionary work that he left us. In 1998, together with Pastor Carlos Díaz, he started the Calvary Biblical Church, and then in 2010, he started the second church, The Great I am Biblical Church, both in San Pedro de Macorís, east of the Dominican Republic. My father was a believer: jealous, soul-winning, and separated from the world for God and the cause of the Gospel. He did not rest until he saw both churches with their own building. Today they are stable churches, and both have full-time pastors. It fills me with satisfaction to remember that I prayed 17 years for the salvation of my father. Glory to God always!

The Importance of Witnessing to First-Time Church Visitors

Brother López’s mother died of a terrible brain cancer last February. She only lived three weeks after she was diagnosed with this terrible disease. I was very concerned because I didn’t know if she was saved, but a sister confirmed to me that approximately 10 years before, she had come one time during a Spring Program, and she was saved. She never came back because of the great distance. I had the opportunity to preach at her funeral. Knowing that she was saved on that occasion helped me to preach and exhort the bereaved not to miss the opportunity to accept the Lord as their Saviour.

Another case happened with a nephew of our Sister Mercedes Suero. Three men came to rob his restaurant and killed him with three bullets. Sister Mercedes told me, “It only comforts me to know that seven years ago during our Church Anniversary Campaign, he visited us and received Christ as his Saviour.” How important it is that when someone visits our churches, even for just one service, we present the Gospel to them!! It fills me with satisfaction to know that both of them are with the Lord.

New Evangelistic Work

We are only two months away from the presidential elections. The whole country is into politics. Despite that, we have increased our evangelistic effort. We just started another new route, and we have visited the entire August 16th community with intensity. (“August 16th” is the name of this community; it represents one of the most important holidays in the Dominican Republic.) Please pray for us to see more than 57 people saved through our evangelistic work.

Good Result for Our Conference “Missions in a New Testament Context”

Thanks to all those who prayed for our annual Missions Conference for workers, pastors, and missionaries. This year we taught and preached on “Missions in a New Testament Context.” Over 50 church leaders were present at the conference.

You have participated in all of these blessings. Thank you one thousand times for your prayers and missionary support.

Prayer Requests

1. Pray for the presidential elections; pray that everything happens in peace.
2. Pray for our health.
3. May the Lord supply us the funds to buy the property where we meet for the church.
4. Pray for the new route in the August 16th area.

Andres Amoros Prayer Letter: The Importance of Witnessing to First-Time VisitorsReciban un caluroso saludo en el nombre de nuestro glorioso Salvador.

“Gloria a Dios siempre.”
