Adam and Karen DePaolis Prayer Letter: What a Joy It Is Serving the Lord!I hope that all is well, and I pray that God has continued to bless you all. I would like to thank you once again for your continued support of our family. I don’t ever want to take for granted your kindness towards us.

Summertime

God has certainly been very good to us. I am constantly amazed by His goodness. We had a great summer. In August, my family and I were invited by a pastor friend of ours, in the southern state of Chiapas, to come and hold a Music Camp at his church. My wife organized the camp (the music, the teachers, etc.), and I had the privilege to preach for the week of camp. There were about 50 young people from several churches present. What a joy it is to serve the Lord! During the Music Camp, I had the opportunity to talk with a young man, and he received the assurance of his salvation.

School and Institute

Returning home, we started back to school, both the Christian school and the Bible institute. My wife teaches Spanish and music in the school. I teach English, from kindergarten through 12th grade. This year, I also have the privilege of teaching two classes in the Bible institute: Bible Customs and Missions.

Church Plant

We continue working with the church plant that I mentioned in the last letter. I was thrilled to hear that during our absence, while at the Music Camp, the young people who are helping us out with the mission had a high day of almost 20. Please continue to pray for us and the mission. As of right now, the group is still fairly small, but we are praying that God would help us to reach more men and families with the Gospel. There are several ladies who have started to come faithfully. We are praying that God would work in the hearts of their husbands.

One such lady is Sandra. Sandra showed up one Tuesday night after overhearing some ladies in the market talking about our church. She and her two kids, Carlos and Ximena, had been going to a Pentecostal church but were looking for a new church to attend, as their former church had become more liberal. After overhearing the ladies talking in the market, she asked them where to find us, and she and her kids showed up the following Tuesday. They have yet to miss a service. Please help us pray that her husband, Carlos Antonio, would come to church.

God’s Blessings

I’m humbled to see how God has continuously opened doors for us. At the end of October, we will be in Arizona. A friend of ours invited us to present our ministry at their Missions Conference. Also, we will be returning for a short furlough in the springtime: January – March 2024. Praise God, we have almost half of our available dates already booked. If you would like us to visit while on furlough, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

May God richly bless you and continue to use you as we partner together.
