I am writing in order to give a quick update about what has been happening with our family of late. We would personally like to thank First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana, and the Sylvania Hills Baptist Church of Rochester, Pennsylvania, for their kindness and generosity towards us during our recent visit to the States. We were beyond blessed and encouraged during our time with them. As many of you know, my wife and daughter have finally gotten their paperwork situated in order for us to travel together. We are making plans now to return for a brief furlough in the spring of 2024.
We are now back in Mexico, and we have continued to stay busy. Last weekend, we celebrated the Bible institute graduation. There were three young people who graduated this year. Please pray that these young people, as well as the rest of the student body, would stay strong and continue on the path which God has placed them. In the next few weeks, we will be having the graduation for our Christian school as well.
I would like to inform you all, being my faithful supporters, of a change in ministry that we will be making in the month of July. For the last two years, we have been working with Pastor Adolfo Lima and the Iglesia Bautista Libertad (Liberty Baptist Church). We will be continuing to use this church as our home base, but we will, however, be taking over a church plant in a nearby town about 30 minutes away. About one year ago, a group of young people from the Bible institute started visiting this town and holding Bible studies. There is now on average 6-8 persons who meet every Tuesday night for a church service. This past Tuesday, we had a high attendance of 13 adults and 6 kids. We will be taking over this church plant; and, Lord willing, He will help us to raise up a church from what these young people have accomplished thus far. Please pray for this new venture.
