Peter and Melody Morris Prayer Letter: Blessings of This Past YearMay the Lord bless you and your families this Christmas as you celebrate and take a moment to meditate on the virgin birth, life, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I pray that you will be blessed in 2022 as you serve Him and work to see the lost of this world come to a saving knowledge and understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What a blessing it has been to partner with you over the last year, with many of you over many years, to take the Gospel to Kenya. We have seen people saved from a variety of environments and different locations, ranging from Western Kenya and across the country to Nairobi, the simple to the very well educated. We have started the Pastors’ Practical Training Academy to help grossly under-trained pastors grow in their understanding of correct doctrine—what is salvation, what is eternal security, what is correct church practice, how to worship in spiritual songs and hymns, and much more.

Here are a couple of messages I received recently from pastors who have attended the PPTA:

1. Dear Pastor and Teacher Peter,

I salute you in the Mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you are doing well and of sound health. It’s a great joy to see the congregants taking heed of the true teachings of the word of God. Having reached at home safely, I have engaged members of the Church in the teaching of the true Gospel and I hope God will bring great impact in the Church.
Members are much interested in the lesson “The Holy Spirit” and they need more teachings on the same. The Congregants have appreciated a lot your support by providing them with the best Bible version. Am I able to get lessons on the Holy Spirit, 51 copies?
Thank you so much. Since I’ve always prayed and make mention of your name in prayers. Kindly pray for me and the Church.

Pastor Jacob

2. I’m much humbled Pastor Morris.

Am doing good in the ministry and I thank God. Thanks for the update I am much willing to come and learn more about the Bible and how we should teach our people from you.
Your teachings and prayers has really helped me a lot.

Pastor Roggers Nayoma

These last couple of months have been both exciting and challenging. With me being in hospital twice and near death and then well enough to direct the PPTA and teach for a week with the help of Bro Andrew Richey, and all the issues involved, it has confirmed to me once again that the spiritual battle is real. Knowing we are on the victory side, walking by faith and trusting in Jesus Christ and the leading of the Holy Spirit is all I can do and all I believe need to do. God is working, so we wait upon the Lord and renew our strength. I am hoping to travel up country in January to meet with these pastors and hopefully help them set up a program to teach their people. We want to organize the churches, using the Statement of Faith and Constitution to educate the people in correct doctrine and church practice, putting in place a foundation on which to build New Testament churches with a vision and purpose. There is much to be done.

The last lesson of the PPTA was a one-on-one practical lesson where we partnered up pastors and had them lead each other to the Lord with the use of their Bible and a Gospel tract. It should be a basic requirement of all pastors that they should be able to take someone through the Gospel and lead them to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, this is not always the case, so we continue to teach them and reinforce this basic responsibility for a pastor to teach his people the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ, hopefully bringing unity of the faith and knowledge of the Word of God.

Please pray for:

1. The Lord to raise up men of integrity we can work with and teach so that they will be an example to others on how to minister to the Kenyan people.
2. The financial needs of the PPTA, which are becoming increasingly difficult to meet. Expenses include transport, food, accommodation, and printed materials.
3. The health of the Morris and Richey families.
4. Safety as we move into the Kenyan election next year and travel across the country, teaching for the cause of Jesus Christ.
5. 2022 to be our most productive year in the ministry yet and that we would see many souls saved, more new Christians discipled, churches planted, and PPTA-type classes started across Kenya.

May the Lord bless you and your family this Christmas as you serve Him and reflect on His goodness to you. Thank you for partnering with us and supporting us, both in prayer and financial support, as we serve the risen Saviour and take the Gospel to East Africa.

Wishing you a BLESSED CHRISTMAS and a PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR! God bless you.

Your fellow servants in Christ,

Peter, Melody, and Lindsay Morris
