We thank the LORD for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us. Since our last prayer letter, we have had dozens saved in our church ministries and many new visitors in our services. We had the electricity put in our second church, so we can remodel there. We’ve also started up our Christian school for this semester. Glory to God!

In September, we celebrated Mexican Independence Day. Several people wore folkloric clothing, and we had a special meal. We had new people come who were saved. I stressed the importance of celebrating our freedom by spreading the Gospel throughout our city. The response was great, with many committing to attending our soul-winning programs.

We have been holding open-air meetings in our city with great results. We hold these meetings on Saturdays so we can invite the people to our Sunday services. The last two weeks, we have had visitors come to our church from these meetings. It is a blessing to see many of our people involved in these evangelistic services. It’s is also astounding to see how many people attend these meetings with such short notice.

For years, our second church has had services before sundown because of a lack of electricity. We resorted to using solar lamps when needed. However, last month, we went to the electric company and completed the process of meeting the codes required to get electricity installed. Now that we have service, we must now proceed with all of the wiring and installation.

Pray for our children, Robert and Veronica, in Bible college. We now have just one child, Rosalinda, at home. Robert and Veronica have served faithfully all their lives here in Mexico. They are currently working together in the ministries in Chicago. Pray for God’s guidance for them in this pivotal time of their lives.

Also pray for our upcoming Missions Conference in November. Our church has a world vision, and it is exciting to see the participation of our entire church family for this event. We will be taking up our new Faith Promise pledges, and we are hoping to add more missionaries to our roster.

Please pray for our health. The doctor found some things we need to monitor. We are glad we have found these problems in time to do some preventative maintenance. I also suffered a fall in our home last month and fractured two ribs. I am recovering, so I am being careful. Pray also for our protection and safety. We are praying for you.

Agradecemos al SEÑOR por las muchas bendiciones que nos ha otorgado. Desde nuestra última carta de oración, hemos tenido docenas de personas salvas en los ministerios de nuestra iglesia y muchos nuevos invitados a nuestros servicios. Instalamos la electricidad en nuestra segunda iglesia para poder remodelarla. También hemos comenzado nuestra escuela cristiana este semestre. ¡Gloria a Dios!

En septiembre, celebramos el día de la independencia de México. Varias personas vistieron ropas folklóricas y tuvimos una comida especial. Vinieron nuevas personas quienes fueron salvas. Predique sobre la importancia de celebrar nuestra libertad difundiendo el Evangelio en nuestra ciudad. La respuesta fue excelente, y muchos se comprometieron a asistir a nuestros programas evangelísticos.

Hemos estado realizando reuniones al aire libre en nuestra ciudad con excelentes resultados. Las realizamos los sábados para poder invitar a la gente a nuestros servicios dominicales. Las últimas dos semanas personas han visitado a nuestra iglesia de estas reuniones. Es una bendición ver a muchos de nuestros miembros participando en estos servicios evangelísticos. También es asombroso ver cuánta gente asiste a estas reuniones con tan poca anticipación.

Durante años, nuestra segunda iglesia ha tenido servicios antes del anochecer debido a la falta de electricidad. Recurrimos al uso de lámparas solares cuando era necesario. Sin embargo, el mes pasado fuimos a la compañía eléctrica y completamos el proceso para cumplir con los códigos requeridos para la instalación eléctrica. Ya tenemos servicio, pero debemos proceder con todo el cableado y la instalación.

Oren por nuestros hijos, Robert y Verónica, que asisten al instituto Bíblico. Ahora solo tenemos una hija en casa, Rosalinda. Robert y Verónica han servido fielmente toda su vida aquí en México. Actualmente trabajan juntos en los ministerios en Chicago. Oremos para que Dios los guíe en este momento crucial de sus vidas.

Oren también por nuestra próxima conferencia de misiones en noviembre. Nuestra iglesia tiene una visión mundial y es emocionante ver la participación de toda la familia de la iglesia en este evento. Retomaremos nuestras promesas de fe y esperamos agregar más misioneros a nuestra lista.

Por favor, oren por nuestra salud. El médico detectó algunas cosas que debemos vigilar. Nos alegra haber detectado estos problemas a tiempo para realizar un mantenimiento preventivo. También sufrí una caída en casa el mes pasado y me fracturé dos costillas. Me estoy recuperando, así que estoy teniendo cuidado. Oren también por nuestra protección y seguridad. Estamos orando por ustedes.
