Time marches on! Luke and Titus graduated from high school and have decided to enroll in Hyles-Anderson College for this fall semester; they both feel that the Lord is calling them to serve in the area of world missions. Mary-Ann and I are very happy to see them find and follow God’s will for their lives, but we are also not sure about how we will handle the emptiness after they leave our home. Please pray that we will be able to care for everything needed to be done for enrolling in college, such as finishing paperwork, putting together finances for enrollment, getting them driver’s licenses, and finding them jobs that can pay for their
school bills, etc. We have returned Stateside to care for all of this, and we will be returning to the Philippines at the beginning of September. The last couple of months were extremely busy in Dumaguete, as International Baptist Church had its Youth Rally at the end of May, and all of our children participated in it. We also had some of our great friends, whom we met and discipled in China, come and visit during that time, bringing some of their teenagers to participate. The Youth Rally was great, with powerful preaching and uplifting music, and our friends are hoping to be able to come again next year. We did stay busy with my teaching classes in the Bible college and multiple times of soul winning every week. Titus made special efforts to find extra time to share the Gospel and led many to the saving knowledge of faith in Jesus Christ! Our family has now seen over 500 souls saved directly and many others we assisted in getting them to a soul winner. During this time, we invited over local teenagers to play basketball every Friday afternoon for about two months, and most of them trusted Christ for salvation! Also, some of them came to church and were baptized. We also had to change our housing situation right before returning to the States, which was quite exhausting; but, hallelujah, we finished up!
In July, we were able to attend FBMI’s Missions University and get some great teaching while our children attended Youth Conference in Hammond. We were also able to attend a family reunion and visit some of our supporting churches in central Texas. For most of the month of August, we will be in Northwest Indiana working on Luke and Titus’s college enrollment.
Again, thank you all for your faithfulness! Please pray that God will bless Luke and Titus in Indiana and the rest of us in the Philippines! We love you! Don’t forget to check out our webpage at https://fbmi.org/missionary/williamsd for many extra pictures!
Sincerely,
R. Daniel Williams and Family to the Philippines
