PRAYER LETTERS
LATEST
It has been hard to find time to blink. Things have been so busy here, but I apologize for not communicating sooner. Thank you for your patience, provision, and prayers. You are a massive part of the reason why we have been able to continue the ministry here.
Church News
We baptized four young people and received another family into church membership. God has grown the church, and I am very humbled by what he is doing. Post 2020-2021 lockdowns, it felt like the church was almost having to restart. The faithful few were faithful still, and it has been a consistent addition to the church since those life-changing times. We are outgrowing our facilities!
Teen Camp
We had three vehicles full of teen campers and helpers that went up to Finlay Christian Camp. It was a fantastic week of preaching, prayer, fellowship, and exhausting activity. Our young people made some great decisions, and I can honestly say I witnessed at least one miracle change in attitude. In the van I drove home (a five-hour trip), we talked doctrine for well over four hours, and it was completely driven by the young men in the vehicle with me. They were so hungry to understand and learn. What a blessing!
Building News
We continue to seek the Lord’s wisdom in regards to our building situation. We have to let the owner know by January if we will extend our lease. He has not been willing to lower his asking price, and I am not 100% sure the facilities are adequate for our needs anymore. We have had many services this year where we have been at standing-room-only levels of capacity, and we really do not have adequate children’s ministry space each week. I am eager to get our young people reaching out into the community and bringing children and teens in for Sunday school, but we have nowhere to put them when they arrive. If we were able to buy the building, things would be better, but perhaps not for long. Wisdom is needed. I want to trust the Lord that the church will keep growing, but I am also weighing that up with the need for us to have a permanent church home. Our church has committed to praying toward God’s will.
Family News
Beth continues to struggle with health issues, but a more serious matter was recently ruled out, which was cause for rejoicing. Please pray for her. Our kids are growing up and are a blessing in so many ways. Gail (she has informed us she prefers this nickname more than Abby, and it is taking time to adjust) has decided to go to Bible institute when she graduates and wants to serve the Lord with her life. Amen! Zack is still thoughtfully working out his salvation; please pray for assurance for him.
Thank you for your prayers,
Nick Watt
