  • Ian and Czarinna Vincent Prayer Letter: Annual Tent RevivalWe are so excited for what God is doing in our church and in our family, as we are now well into the year 2025. The past few months have been a little rough, as we mentioned in our previous letter about Franco’s accident. Several trips to the operating room have been a struggle, not only for him but also for us as a family, especially for Czarinna, as she has been taking extra care and time to watch him during his hospital admissions. But God has continually shown His greatness and love in taking care of all of our needs, including our financial ones. Franco, on the positive side, is a champ at his age in coping with his situation. It took him three months to recover fully and be able to walk, run, and wear shoes again.

Not only as a family have we gone through some troubles, but our town and surrounding area have also had some troubles lately. For about a year now, we have been under a Level 3 alert concerning the volcano, Mt. Kanlaon, that’s on our island. We were blessed that a Christian organization called Operation Blessing reached out to us and wanted to use our church as a hub to pass out 500 food packs to those who have been evacuated who live near the volcano. Not many churches can say that they had their biggest attendance on the last Sunday of the year—but we can. Those who received a food pack also attended our church service, and since then, we have averaged 300 on Sunday mornings. Due to the threat of the volcano, we also had to postpone our December Family Camp, but by God’s grace, we were able to reschedule it and have it at the end of January. We were blessed to have over 200 in attendance, and we had 62 people get baptized.

In March, we once again held our Tent Revival. I was blessed that this year was the first time my pastor and his wife (my sister) from California joined us, along with my parents and some others who also came. I am a very blessed missionary in that my parents, all four of my siblings, and the three pastors I have had since I’ve been a missionary have all visited me in the Philippines. It truly amazes me what we can accomplish through prayer and how God manifests His power through our Tent Revival. We had another record-breaking year, with the highest attendance being, over 2,800! If you include all of the church members present, we had well over 3,000 people for our last Tent Revival service. As always, hundreds of people accepted Jesus as their Saviour, and we decided, for the first time, to have a baptismal service after our last Tent Revival service. We had 58 people baptized! Please pray that God will give our church more workers and church staff so that we can follow up on many of these new converts and for the many people we always have saved and baptized.

Please pray for traveling mercies for us, as we are now in the States from May 14 until July 20. I thank God for His provision for us to be able to go back home to Kentucky to attend my brother’s wedding. At the same time, we are taking this opportunity to have meetings in new churches and visit some of our supporting churches. Please pray that these new churches would take us on for support. Our schedule is pretty full, as we will have meetings for eight out of the ten Sundays we will be in America. Please also do pray for us, because we need $400 so that we can start homeschooling Edward, as he will be going into first grade. We will only have one day of rest when we arrive in the Philippines, and then Czarinna will have to take two days of homeschool training in Manila. Then on July 27, we will have our church anniversary. Needless to say, our schedule will be full and busy the next two months, but with God’s help and grace and your prayers, we can make it.

Idle hands are the Devil’s workshop,

    Ian and Czarinna Vincent
