Wedding bells rang at our church earlier this May, as one of our faithful young adult couples tied the knot! The groom is a dedicated volunteer who serves in our printing press ministry. Please pray for this new couple as they begin their journey together, seeking the Lord’s guidance and blessing in their marriage.
On the first Sunday of every month, we hold a special missions-focused service. I had the privilege of preaching a message that highlighted the extensive preparation involved in our missions trip to Papua New Guinea. The Lord truly moved during that service—many hearts were stirred, and there is growing enthusiasm within the church to further support missionary efforts on the field.
The following week, we travelled to Gympie, about two hours from Brisbane, to assist a fellow missionary family with their community-outreach event called the “Free Market.” The event is designed to connect with locals by giving away goods at no cost. Praise the Lord, over 40 family contacts were made! The next day was Mother’s Day, and the church was blessed with several first-time visitors.
As I mentioned in our previous letter, the Anderson family recently relocated to Geelong, Victoria, to plant a new church. The week after our trip to Gympie, I led a team down to Geelong to help with their Grand Opening services. On our first night there, Brother Anderson had planned for us to eat at a certain restaurant, but it was fully booked, so we ended up at another. In God’s providence, we met a man working at the restaurant whom Brother Anderson remembered from years ago when this man was just a child. Remarkably, this man now lives in Geelong and came to the church’s Grand opening! Only the Lord could have orchestrated such a meeting.
That Saturday, we distributed invitations and had several Gospel conversations in the community. Later that evening, we held an evangelistic service and welcomed a number of visitors. Sunday’s Grand Opening was a joyful success, and I was honoured to preach the message. The Lord moved in a powerful way. Please continue to pray for the Anderson family and the growth of this new church plant in Geelong.
At home, the children are keeping busy with school. Mindy has picked up photography again and is actively serving at both the church and school. I’ve been blessed to continue learning and growing through our involvement with Good Shepherd Baptist Church. I recently had the opportunity to preach at the high school chapel, where I shared a message on David and the brothers of Goliath.
Southland Baptist Productions (Press) is also gaining momentum once again. We are currently the only ministry in Australia operating a printing press dedicated to producing and sending Gospel tracts to Southeast Asia. Please pray for this vital ministry as we continue to seek financial partners. In the meantime, we are completing print jobs for clients to help fund the production and distribution of tracts.
Thank you, as always, for your faithful prayers and generous support. We are continually encouraged by the ways the Lord is working through your partnership with us in the Gospel.
