Andy Richey
I was raised in a good, moral home. My parents started going to church when I was quite young, and I can recall them both getting saved. A short time later (at about age nine), I made a profession of faith. After moving to Xenia, Ohio, under the preaching of my former pastor, Dr. David McClellan, I felt great conviction from the Holy Spirit within me about my relationship with God. I truly accepted Christ as my Saviour while sitting in an Arby’s restaurant with my pastor in August of 2002. Anyone who knew me at this time, I believe, would testify that the fruits of the Spirit began to show in my life.

Connie Richey
I was raised in a Christian home. My parents were both saved before I was born. I was in church every time the church doors were open from the day I was born. By the age of four, I had heard all of the Bible stories, and one day I asked my daddy how I could go to Heaven. We went to my room and knelt by my bed, and my daddy told me how to go to Heaven. I was saved that day and have never looked back.

My name is Andy Richey, missionary to East Africa. I work with Peter Morris, a veteran missionary of this field for eighteen years. Since working together, God has allowed us the blessing of starting many churches while working with national men. We have also held training seminars across Kenya. Those with whom we have worked are begging us to do more to train their people in biblical doctrine and church planting.
Our desire is to move forward in this work. Our plan is to start a pattern church, start a Bible college to train nationals, and then set up mobile training seminars to reach into rural areas and villages throughout East Africa. Though many churches have been started, much more needs to be done. This is a necessary progression to have any hope of fulfilling the Great Commission across this region!
This will take much work and sacrifice, which we are ready to do. We invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with us in this effort through prayer and finances. Please contact me if you would allow us the opportunity to share our burden and calling with you and your church.

Andy Richey Prayer Letter: Church Growth, Transition, and Souls Saved

Andy Richey Prayer Letter: Church Growth, Transition, and Souls SavedGod is so good, and it is a true joy and pleasure to serve our Saviour as your representatives here in Kenya, East Africa! Over the last 2 months, we have seen more than 100 souls make a profession of faith in Christ Jesus as their Saviour in many venues, including schools, soul winning, and church services. As we press on, there are occasions of great joy and victory, as well as burdensome challenges; and your love, support, and prayers create the path for victories and give us strength and wisdom through challenges. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Greater Vision Baptist Church saw 33 souls saved in May, as we saw great growth and passion in new soul winners. The church is going through a time of transition as we grow and the Devil fights. We are looking for a new facility, and with God’s help, we are preparing for the future in this and a few other aspects. We request prayer for Pastor Fred and wisdom as the church grows in faith, biblical doctrine, and size.

Both Connie and I are spending many hours each week discipling several recent converts, working through a set of lessons called Foundations of Our Faith, to ground them in their new faith in Christ. Many have decided to be obedient in baptism. Most of these are done one on one, and a few are done in small groups. Please pray for these new converts to build their faith on a solid foundation of truth that they will become productive in the church, in service to God, and in the Great Commission.

God has opened several doors in area schools for the Gospel to be preached and truth to be taught. Connie teaches the younger children a Bible story, teaching them a truth, and I have the privilege to preach to the older students. God has blessed these efforts with many professions of faith. We have an open door to return to several schools where we have been, and there is potential to do the same in many more. Prayer for God’s will to be done to see many more saved and for open doors would be greatly appreciated.

With wonderful joy, we will continue as your partners in reaching the lost and discipling converts to build the church and work of God. Thank you for making our calling and mission possible!

Your servant for lost souls across East Africa,

Andy & Connie Richey
