We are extremely thankful for your prayers and provision as we serve in this needful area of Thailand. We have much to thank God for through His blessings and the direction He provides. Our ministries and churches continue to focus on soul winning, discipleship, encouragement, and growth. Everything centers around doing what God desires with a heart that is close to the Him. We have fantastic people to work with, both staff and church members, who regularly rise to the challenges of helping and serving in a sometimes rapidly changing environment. Your prayers are most needed and are certainly difference makers.

New Thailand Home Address

In mid-April, our house owner, whom we’ve happily rented from for over seven years, relayed to us that she would soon be moving to Thailand and wanted to live in her house. With a full, wall-to-wall schedule every week in the ministry, suddenly moving house was not really on the agenda. We trusted that God would lead us, and within two weeks, God gave us a wonderful new place to live, just a couple miles from our old place and another kind, helpful owner. The new house and village are safe, quiet, and reasonably priced. God gave us some extra blessings, like a schoolroom, storage rooms (rare here), and recent renovations. In fact, Bro. Matthew Bosje and family will be living just two little streets over (another blessing)—easy to meet up and borrow a cup of sugar. It was through looking at the Bosjes’ new place with their agent that we found the house. We were the first ones to look at it on April 26, and we signed the contract that day. So many things had God’s handprint and leading on them. As of the writing of this letter, we are officially moved out of our old address and moved into the new one. IBC-Hua Hin and IBC-Nong Phlap

Both churches had fantastic Resurrection Day services in April, with strong attendances and also several salvations following the services. In both churches, special games, including entire families (children to Grandmas), were played, along with a special time of food and fellowship. As we teach and train in the services and discipleship sessions, we want to be sure our hearts are right. We desire a right heart, with a spirit of faith, hope, and optimism, setting an example for our new and young Christians to replicate. I’m so thankful, with all of the adjustments and unforeseen events that have popped up over the last two months or more, that our churches, staff, and team have faithfully looked to the Lord for strength, not letting seemingly problematic situations or the appearance of darkness distract from God’s desire and focus for us. Once again, your prayers are difference-makers.

Furlough and Coverage

Currently and up until our furlough departure in mid-August, for smoothness, simplicity, and handoffs, I’m enjoying, sharing the preaching and teaching responsibilities with Bro. Pong at IBC-Nong Phlap and with Bro. Matthew Bosje at IBC-Hua Hin. We all learn and grow together. I’m thankful and confident in these men, along with the many others who will be caring for the ministries during our furlough time, which will go through the year’s end. I thank God for great co-laborers in the ministry—humble, capable, and motivated servants.

Soccer Ministry

We are seeing upwards of 15 young men join us each week. Young men are bringing their friends, who then receive clear presentations of the Gospel and are getting saved. We take a window of time after the gameplay to teach Biblical truths and give the Gospel. Some of our faithful young men are now preparing to begin taking turns teaching the truth, preaching, and giving the Gospel after the gameplay. Please pray for this step of growth in our young men, for more to come, for more to grow, and for safety, especially for us older players (Ha! Ha!).

Soul Winning

We thank God for the souls He saved the last couple of months. One afternoon, I turned down a road to investigate a sign we had seen for years but never knew what it was. It was called 60’s Town. The location ended up being a small resort, so we asked the first man we saw if they had any Burmese workers we could talk to, as we knew we would not be allowed to talk to the guests. The man’s name was Nok, and he ended up being part of the family who owned the resort. Nok stood and listened as we shared with him the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. Nok told us he had friends who were Christians, but he never knew how to become one. He was so happy to hear the Gospel and accept Christ as his Saviour. Nok told us he has another location several hours away with 80 Burmese and Karen workers and asked for Gospel tracts in each language so he could take them there and share what he had learned with others. Praise the Lord! In the link below, you’ll find many pictures of some of the salvations that took place, ministry events, and blessings. Thank God for His ability, as in the months of April and May of 2025, Sarah, Harmony, and I were directly involved in seeing 54 souls saved. We are praying you all have a blessed summertime!
