After having been deeply involved in the First Baptist Church of Hammond, both during our college years and after, it is our privilege to be sent out as missionaries. We are excited about the missionary vision of our church and are excited to be partnered with such a great ministry in taking the Gospel to the world.

Team Indo-Phil Update: God Is Still Working in Dumaguete!

Team Indo-Phil Update: God Is Still Working in Dumaguete!God continues to show Himself mighty here in Dumaguete. Thank you for your continued prayers and support, which God uses to enable us to be in the ministry. It is exciting to see God use the people we invest our lives into, and more and more I realize how He is transforming lives.

In April, we graduated two more men from our Bible college, and we just added three new ladies. Our school year will have a new start in August, and already we’ve had some inquiries from several pastors about sending men to our school. Please pray that the Lord will provide the need in our college.

Right after graduation, we held our Vacation Bible School. It was an incredible week, as our workers conducted 23 meetings in our route areas Monday through Thursday, with a combined meeting at the church on Friday. Well over 800 children were part of the meetings, and through personal soul winning, 421 children received Christ as their Saviour. Please pray as we continue to do follow-up to reach the families.

In May, we had our annual Youth Rally. It was a 44-hour event, beginning to end, and included 11 sermons, a lot of singing, some activity, and food. We had several churches from our island and neighboring islands of Cebu and Mindanao join us this year. About 125 teens gathered, and God met with us. Our theme this year was “Not My Own,” and every message dealt with surrender; many young people made decisions to serve God and several to attend Bible college. Please pray for these precious young people, as already the battles are beginning in their lives.

Our tenth child, Jordyn Grace, was born March 28 of this year, and that brought family to visit us, including our two oldest daughters, who are students at Hyles-Anderson College. What a blessing it is to have the entire family together again, even during a very busy time of the year.

We said goodbye to the Stan Lawrenson family at the end of May. They have faithfully served here for almost eight years. They’ve left some pretty big shoes to fill, and we trust that God is going to give us the grace we need to carry on in their absence. We are praying for them as they start a new chapter in their lives.

With school starting back up in the Philippines, we have started up our School Ministry again. We are currently in two elementary schools each week and working to find open doors to others. Just last week in one of the schools, 57 young people in Grade 6 heard the Gospel and were saved. Now we get to go back and build on that each week this year. Many of these young people find their way into our Junior Church. We’ve been doing this for a couple of years already, and many are now teenagers in our church. Please pray for this ministry.

I would ask that you pray with us concerning our family vehicle. We’ve had the same Toyota van since we arrived here nine years ago. Well, the engine has given up the ghost. Please pray that the Lord will provide for us a new vehicle to use for our family, as well as for ministry use.

Thank you for being faithful in your prayers, without which we could not do what we do. Thank you also for your unceasing support, which helps to enable us to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this growing area. Please pray for more laborers to join us in this ripe harvest.

Below you’ll find some other prayer requests, as well as photos from recent days. God has been so good to us, and we are grateful. May He continue to bless you as well.

Please pray for the following:

1. Continued spiritual growth among our team, staff, and church family
2. Health and provision for all team families
3. Finances for our radio station ($1,500 currently needed)
4. Continued growth of new converts
5. More souls to come to Christ through our soul winning
6. America’s spiritual condition to improve—we’re praying for you.

That all the world may know,

Randy DeMoville
