LATEST

  • Team Philippines Update: A Full Couple of MonthsThe past couple of months have been full! At the end of April, International Baptist Church held her Vacation Bible School. This year, 29 separate meetings took place throughout the areas we have routes. Our workers were able to connect with parents and other bystanders, and by the end of the week, 500 souls had been saved through personal soul winning.

My wife and I were able to make a trip to Indiana for the graduation of our son Christian from Hyles-Anderson College. He is our third child to graduate from Bible college, and we are so pleased with how each of our children has chosen to follow the Lord and to serve Him. Please pray, as Christian believes it is God’s will that he return to the mission field he grew up on and help us to further the ministry and to establish new churches.

While I was back, I was blessed to visit churches in both America and Canada. I am grateful for those opportunities to share what God is doing here in Dumaguete and to speak of the great need for more preachers.

Upon arriving back in the Philippines, I conducted a wedding for two of our graduates; Elmer Rusiana and Abigail Singgit were married. This couple dated properly and were great examples to the next generation of how to honor God, their pastor, and their parents.

The following week, we had our Youth Rally at International Baptist Church. Several churches partook in this great event; we even had visitors from China and Taiwan. More than 150 young people heard 12 messages in less than 48 hours by 8 different speakers. Our theme this year was “Onboard.” Great decisions were made by our youth to get onboard and stay onboard with our generation in areas, including the Bible, doctrine, music, soul winning, purity, standards, and convictions. Several made decisions to live out the rest of their lives upon God’s altar of service as living sacrifices. Please pray for these young people, especially those who will face opposition for choosing to attend Bible college. To see a video recap of the rally, scan this QR code.

School will be starting again soon in the Philippines, and we have plans to increase the number of schools we go into weekly from six to eight. There is so much work to be done in this fruitful field. Please pray and consider a visit to Dumaguete.

Would you consider prayer and support for the following:

    1. A new church starting in Dauin (south of Dumaguete) by one of our graduates, Nelson Duran
    2. Our radio ministry, including our online radio app for churches to use: https://ibcd.theanchor.app
    3. Future land and building for our church—we are limited from starting new Sunday school classes in our current location.

That all the world may know,

    Randy DeMoville
