Connect with other missions-minded leaders.

Have you ever said to yourself, “There has got to be a better way”? How many times have you wished you could sit down with other leaders who understand the kinds of challenges and responsibilities that you face and exchange ideas with them? As a missionary on the field, I often felt that way. As a missions pastor today, I still often feel that way.  This is why I am inviting you to FBMI’s first Missions Mastermind.

Come and experience dynamic conversation between other missions-minded leaders around topics that matter to you. You are welcome to bring your own topics. We desire to connect you to other leaders within a focused environment.

We are inviting missionaries, pastors, and missions-minded business professionals. I believe the conversations that will take place can lead to pivotal advances in many of our ministries and missions endeavors. Everyone I have spoken with about this has responded with excitement and commitment to attend. I hope you will join us. You may also invite one other person to participate and share a room with you at a discounted price, whether it be your spouse, a colleague, or another missionary.

This will be a 24-hour event, beginning July 16, 2018 at 3 p.m. and ending July 17, 2018 at 3 p.m. It will take place at The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center in Lombard, Illinois, which is located less than 15 miles from both O’Hare and Midway Airports.

We have designated a unique name for each of the six segments of our Missions Mastermind as described below. The first segment will include everyone together. The format of all but the first and last segments will be smaller, round-table discussions followed by collective group discussions. Tables will be switched up to ensure everyone experiences multiple perspectives. The final segment will be a learning opportunity for all and an investing or fundraising opportunity for some.

Here are the details.

“Meet & Mingle”

You will have thirty seconds to describe yourself and the investment you are currently making into missions. In the business world, this practice is often called an “elevator pitch.” You will then share one strategic missions-related goal which you are striving to meet within the next 12 months. After meeting each other as described, there will be time to connect individually with people with whom you identify.

“Challenge Cast”

Everyone at your table will share one obstacle they are currently facing in their ministry or missions endeavor and then receive collective advice.

“Lesson Learned”

Everyone at your table will share one lesson they have learned from a failure or mistake in their ministry or missions endeavor before engaging in collective discussion.

“Improvement Initiative”

Everyone at your table will share one thought on how we might improve the way we do missions. Whether it be how we raise support, communicate needs, or reach the masses, this is both a time to express ideas and to discuss possible solutions.

“Practical Principle “

Everyone at your table will share one take-home principle which they gleaned from the Missions Mastermind.

“Venture Vet”

Everyone will listen and learn as several missionaries pitch a mission investment opportunity to a panel of missions-minded pastors and investors. The panel will ask questions to vet the purpose and details of the missionaries’ ventures in front of everyone. One missionary will be nominated by the panel to receive funds for their missions venture.

The cost will be $499 per person or $699 for two. This includes a full program, beautiful lodging, all three meals, and pre-reading materials shipped directly to you.

The full registration balance is due by June 15, 2018, but you can reserve your spot today for only $99. If you are inviting someone else to share a room with you, you can reserve a spot for both of you for $149.

We have limited space. Be one of the first 20 to make a reservation to join me at the VIP table during one of the meal times.

I hope you join us.
