Cajuru, São Paulo

THANK YOU for praying and giving so that our family can continue sharing the Good News of our Saviour with the PEOPLE OF Brazil! I am still serving as the interim pastor here at the Templo Batista de Cajuru.

During the month of March, we repaired the church roof. In April, we replaced the tile floor in two rooms and hallway in the church parsonage, which is directly above the current church auditorium. The two rooms are presently used for children’s classes. Also in April, we had Missions Month to reconnect the people with three of the missionary families that the church currently supports through Faith Promise missions. The first Sunday, we had a young man, João Victor, who was saved and baptized in this church. He and his family are beginning deputation to serve with the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry though his local church in the city of Formiga four hours away.

Weekly, we are sharing the Gospel with the people of our city. During the month of March, we taught and preached on the importance of being personal soul winners. We revised the church’s Constitution, Bylaws, and Statement of Faith and are in the process of electing members to the board of directors. PRAY for the Templo Batista de Cajuru during this important time.

GANHAR Ministry

Our daughter Karlene and her husband Jonata, who helped start a local church with Missionary Keith Putnam, are preparing to attend Candidate School with Fundamental Baptist Missions International (FBMI) next month. Upon acceptance, they will be beginning deputation and preparing to return to Brazil to continue serving our Saviour with us through the GANHAR (Soul-Winning) Ministry. PRAYER REQUESTS

1. During the months of May, June, and July, we have a goal to put a Gospel tract in every home in the city of Cajuru. We want every family to receive the Gospel before the church’s 41st anniversary. We have already seen at least five people trust Jesus through this effort. PRAY that the people of TBC will find that the joy of the Lord is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10) as we serve our Saviour together.
2. Wings Bearing Precious Seed, under the ministry of Bro. Allen Johnson, is shipping a container packed with John and Romans and Gospel tracts to Brazil this month. The GANHAR Ministry distributed all of the materials we received two years ago. The churches of Brazil depend on this ministry to supply them with soul-winning materials. PRAY for God’s direction for this ministry.
3. Pastor Corey Seulean will be teaching a Soul-Winning Conference June 5-7. PRAY that the Holy Spirit will use this conference to challenge the churches of Brazil to do more for the cause of Christ.
