On Sunday, March 23, our church here concluded our Missions Conference! At the end of the service, the leaders of the church came forward and honored Pastor Owens and me and gave us a certificate and a gift bag. They gave testimony that we were the missionaries who had reached them and gave testimony of God’s work among them. It was a special moment, as the church gave us a standing ovation and sang a song to us, thanking us for our labor of love among them.
On Friday, April 18, known as Good Friday, we held evangelistic meetings in various neighborhoods, conducting them outdoors. I had the privilege of preaching at 2 different locations. At our first site, which commenced at 5:00 p.m., we arranged 30 chairs from the church, and a dedicated church member provided a PA system. A group of our church volunteers also joined us to assist with the children. We welcomed 33 adults and over 30 children to the gathering. God inspired me to deliver a straightforward message about salvation, resulting in 7 adults making a decision for Christ.
At 6:30 p.m., Rodrigo and I visited Rozana, a kind woman who, although not a member of our church and not yet saved, runs a soup kitchen serving 30 families. She graciously gathered all of the families in her backyard under a roof. We had 27 families in attendance, with nearly 30 children present. I shared a brief message on the plan of salvation, and 14 adults responded to the invitation. We will be following up with these new converts. Praise the Lord!
During the last week of April here in our Bible college, I was asked to teach on “Separation from the World.” God gave me a lot of freedom to teach and preach on the subject. I had 43 students in my class and over 50 students taking the course online via YouTube. I received a lot of positive response from the class. I enjoyed teaching this subject. Praise the Lord for a group of students who want to learn more from God’s Word.
We continue to go forward by faith. The harvest here is great. Pray that God will increase our vision. We are very grateful for your love and support.
