Jerry Wyatt III Prayer Letter: Faith Baptist Church OverviewBig Days

In the past couple of months, we held our annual “big days.” Many people came to know Christ and were baptized during these special Sundays. What could be more exciting than a soul snatched from darkness and brought into the light of Christ?! We also had some of the most significant Sundays ever as far as attendance. Our special Sundays included Kids’ Sunday, Teen Sunday, Insurance Sunday, and Good Neighbor Sunday.

Trip to Ghana

In November, I was able to make a trip to Ghana, West Africa, to attend a Missions Mastermind event, hosted by FBMI, our missions agency. Opportunities like this are invaluable; we learned from men who came from all over the world, were deeply encouraged, and challenged to serve Christ with greater vigor. Having been tremendously blessed, I came home with many new ideas we are praying will further the work of Christ.

Prison Ministry

Please pray as we seek the Lord’s direction for this new ministry. God has given us favor with the leadership of our local prison, and we have started the process of applying for the opportunity to preach at the prison every week. We were able to provide some special food for the prisoners for this past Christmas; it was such a joy to feed those who not would otherwise experience this type of blessing. We were also able to give 700 John and Romans from our church to each prisoner.

Faith Baptist Overview

Without a doubt, 2019 was both exciting and fruitful! Our church was able to see 1,694 people saved during our services and other outreaches during the course of the year. Over 600 first-time visitors visited our church, with an average attendance of 437 in our services. The year 2019 saw the official start of the Voice of Life Radio, and we have already seen much fruit from this ministry. God blessed in allowing us to purchase land for a future Clinic Ministry, as well as land for Imani Village for an orphanage and feeding center. We had our largest Sunday of the year on Soccer Sunday, with over 2,600. God blessed the Crusade in a fantastic way, with over 20,000 in attendance and over 1,000 trusting Christ. We held our first Pastors’ Conference this year and were able to dedicate a new church building in the village of Dumila.

We thank the Lord for all He has allowed us to be a part of this past year, and we look forward to what He will do in 2020! Thank you for partnering with us in this great work!
