Ben Turner Prayer Letter: Declaring the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you . . . .” (I Corinthians 15:1) This verse describes our focus as we labour for the Lord here in the Vancouver area. It is imperative that we continue to declare the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! To God’s glory, we are seeing the fruit that comes when the Gospel is declared.

In late March, I had the privilege of preaching for two weeks in the country of Liberia. The Lord allowed us to see over 150 precious souls saved during that time!! The purpose of the trip was to visit two ministries that Anchor Baptist Church has been supporting. Many labourers are needed in Liberia. Please pray with me!

Over the last several months, we have seen scores of first-time visitors attend the services of Anchor Baptist Church! As you know, our Sunday service times are 3 and 4 pm. It is simply the hand of the Lord that allows us to see the work move forward with unique service times like these. Please continue to pray for our building needs. The church we are renting is set to be demolished sometime in 2019. God is in control, and we are trusting Him to provide!
We are attaching several pictures of the people God has brought to Anchor Baptist Church in the past few months. To God be the glory for souls saved and baptized!

On the first Monday of August, we have our church picnic. Clemente and Maritza walked by the church back in June when we were having our community lunch. They were looking for a place to rent nearby and didn’t know this was the church that Clemente’s boss (Jose Cabrera) attended. One of our men spoke to them that day and encouraged them to come to church. Fast forward ahead two months. Their family came to church on August 5 and attended the picnic on August 6. I had the privilege of showing them from God’s Word how they could be born again. Now they are a part of God’s family!

Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support! We are truly grateful!

PS. How could I forget to mention that Becky and I are going to be grandparents?! Caleb and Abbey’s first child is due on December 16. This does not seem possible at 45 years of age. 😊 Please pray for Abbey and Baby Turner. Thank you.
