Team Thailand Update: Pressing OnPRESSING ON

Change—who likes it? We get comfortable with our lives, and we grow accustomed to how things are going. Though change is a constant aspect of life, as humans we often find ourselves resisting the inevitable. Thankfully, we have God to help us through! The Thailand Team has experienced a major change this past month in leadership, as Brother Mark Bosje, with his family, moved back to America and is settling into his new position at First Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana. The Bosje family will forever be loved and remembered by us all. They personally have reached many people with the Gospel here in Thailand, and many were recipients of their love and care. The church and team members had a going-away Sunday service on July 6, the Bosjes’ last Sunday in Thailand, to honor their years of service. It was a memorable day with many tears as the people brought gifts to show their love and appreciation. We are thankful for God’s servants around the world, but we are especially grateful for the Bosje family and their love for Thailand.

Once change takes place, we must decide whether we will press on or stagnate in the past. My goal is that we as a church and team will press on! Philippians 3:14 says, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” God has given me a clear vision for the work here, and He has blessed our ministry with the choicest of missionary families who are excited about the future of Team Thailand. I am looking forward to seeing what God will do.

Two churches in America donated money to have a shipment of Bibles in the Karen language sent to our ministry. Our church has a ministry to a group of Karen people. Every Sunday they faithfully listen and learn, but they have not had the opportunity to have their own Bibles. Two Sundays ago we were able to give out the Bibles in our Sunday school classes and morning service. What a thrill to give God’s Word to those so eager!

We trust you will be encouraged by what the Lord is doing here through His humble servants as we continue to see souls being saved, baptized, and becoming disciples for Him. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support! We pray for you also.
