Team Ghana Update: Our Bible MinistryJeremiah 31:10 states, “Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off . . . .” Our desire is for the people of West Africa to hear the Word of God. We thank the Lord for our outreach ministries that are sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ far and wide here in West Africa. But our desire is that our disciples not only hear the preaching of God’s Word, but that each one has his own copy to read.

Bible-Distribution Ministry

A big part of our ministry these past 13 years has been getting copies of the Bible into the hands of those who can benefit from it. Our ministry has been able to distribute tens of thousands of Bibles and hundreds of thousands of New Testaments. We are thankful for the 5,088 hard-cover King James Bibles and 30,980 copies of John and Romans we received from BEAMS earlier this year.

We have partnered with Bearing Precious Seed as well. Here are the main avenues of distribution for these invaluable materials:

Our Church: We have a discipleship curriculum that begins with one booklet explaining salvation and then 12 more booklets explaining foundational doctrines. Those who complete the first booklet can receive a New Testament at no cost to them, and those who complete the first 4 of our discipleship booklets receive a free Bible. Children in our Christian school are also presented with a Bible once they learn to read.
Our School Ministry: God has allowed us to present the Gospel to well over 300,000 students. When we follow up, we make New Testaments available to them. The Bibles make an excellent gift for teachers and principals of these schools so that the doors into these schools remain open. Some school-age students have participated in our Bible Club Ministry and earned Bibles in the same way our church members do (pictured below).
Our Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference: Every church that brings 3 or 4 paid delegates to our conference receives 12 hard-cover Bibles, and every church that brings 5 or more paid delegates receives 24 hard-cover Bibles. This is a great incentive for pastors to bring their people to our conference for solid doctrinal teaching, and it helps us discern which churches will value these donated Bibles. Our daughter churches get a supply of Bibles from us each year as well.

We greatly appreciate those who give each month to support our Bible Ministry. If you would like to join them, then you can send a check to FBMI, 507 State Street, Hammond, IN 46320, and just put “#6170 Ghana Bible Fund” in the memo section.

Team Families

Please pray for God to put a hedge of protection about our team families. Each month we highlight one of our team families by including a link of a recent prayer letter of theirs. This month, we hope you will take time to read a letter from the Sarver family: fbmi.org/missionary/sarver.

Yours for souls,
