Team Ghana Update: Testimony From Prince, Part 2In May, we introduced you to one of our church members, Oppong Kyekyeku Prince. He was reached by our school ministry while still in high school. He is now a schoolteacher and a faithful member of our church. We continue Prince’s testimony with his involvement in our information center ministry. (An information center is like a radio station, but it broadcasts from a neighborhood loudspeaker instead of using radio waves.)

Prince’s Testimony, Part 2

In February of this year, I joined the information center ministry and started preaching in Agyarko Buoho, the new area where I teach. This area is dominated by Seventh-Day Adventists. When I started preaching that salvation is by faith alone, the audience called in on several occasions to ask questions about good works and the law. As time went on, I learned that the people had begun to understand the Gospel, and many were believing on Jesus alone for their salvation.

Then I started preaching at a new center, which is also in an area dominated by the Seventh-Day Adventists. The first day, a man came to the center and asked some questions based on my message about the law. He disagreed with me, but the next day I preached on the purpose of works. I asked him, “Do you have any further questions today now that I have explained why we should do good works?” He picked up the microphone and said, “Today we have known salvation is not about what you do or the law we obey but by faith in Jesus.” Many have been saved in this new area as well. I meet a lot of people who listen to the program; I have begun discipleship lessons with about seven of them.

Fundamental Baptist Church International has really made a great impact on my life and has trained me to reach others for Christ. I would like to say thank you to the leadership of the church for the opportunity they gave me to be a part of this ministry. God bless them all. Thank you.

Prayer Requests

Pray for God to continue using our radio ministry, which we started as a result of the virus-related restrictions. This past Sunday, a young couple visited our church for the first time; they have been listening to our radio program for the past two months. Also, due to the restrictions, we are not able to have our normal Pastors’ and Workers’ Conference. Instead, we are hosting a smaller meeting, a Senior Pastors’ Seminar next month; please pray that the ministries of the pastors who attend will be strengthened. Pray for the restrictions on our church to be lifted. And this month, let me ask you to please pray for Micah and Abbie Christiansen and their two precious children, AnnaBeth and Ezekiel. You can find their letters at fbmi.org/missionary/christiansenm#updates.

Yours for souls,

Ted Speer
