Team Ghana National Pastor Spotlight: Finding Faith Amidst the FearsPlease pray for God to give great wisdom to Bible-believing, soul-winning pastors the world over.

Pastor Rexford Aning

“I thank the Almighty God for His protection over my family and church and for the opportunity to preach on the radio. Since the president announced the ban on public gatherings, we have had the opportunity to continue our services on the radio free of charge. The manager of the radio station asked us to hold our services on the radio until the ban is lifted. We are on the radio every Sunday morning at 8:00. We have had great response to our radio preaching. Some listeners call in and praise the Lord for the truth; others call to learn how to get to Heaven. This past Sunday, Mr. Kwame Gyamfi was one such caller. We went to his home immediately after the broadcast and preached to him and his wife Theresa. They both got it clearly, and we believe they trusted Christ for salvation. We praise the Lord for this open door.

“I lost my father and my aunt in just one week. My father passed on Saturday, and my aunt on Thursday. Even though it is not easy to believe that they are gone, the great news is that they both heard the Gospel separately on the same day. They both made decisions to trust Jesus for salvation. While I was in their hometown for the funeral, I worked it out to preach at their ‘information center’ [community loudspeaker]. I preached there Monday evening and early on Tuesday morning. Praise the Lord for the opportunity to preach the Gospel even in bad times. All the glory belongs to Him.” – Fundamental Baptist Church, Fiapre, Sunyani, Ghana [Pastor Aning graduated from our Bible college in June 2012.]

Pastor Philip Gafatsi

“I thank God that two weeks ago, we went soul winning, and I met a lady called Agnes Dunyo. When I questioned her about salvation, she said this was not the time we should be talking to people around because she did not know whether or not we had the disease called COVID-19. I told her that was true, but if she could give me a few minutes to talk with her, she would be the happiest person in this world instead of being scared of the Coronavirus. She offered me a chair to sit down. I started sharing the Gospel with her. Normally, I hand my Bible to the person I am witnessing to and let them read the verses for themselves, but Agnes was afraid and refused to hold the Bible. However, she was happy to make sure that when she died, she would go to Heaven. Her younger sister was also present, and they both trusted Christ as their personal Saviour that day.” – Fundamental Baptist Church, Sokode, Volta Region, Ghana [Pastor Gafatsi graduated from our Bible college in January 2011.]

Pastor Franklin Larmie

“For weeks now I have been soul winning and preaching in hospitals, clinics, and other places. I preached to a disabled boy called Uziah Nataam, and he trusted Christ. My wife also preached to her friend, and she is now bringing her fiancé and her children to the church every Sunday.” – Soul-Winning Baptist Church, Paynesville, Monrovia, Liberia [Our graduate, Pastor George Menyon, trained Pastor Larmie in soul winning and worked with him to start this church.]
