What a blessing it has been to be in service to the King this summer. The warmth of the summer sun draws people outdoors and gives us an opportunity to meet them and tell them of our Saviour. In one particular place in Chicago, there is a short wall that sits under a nice shade tree. I have dubbed this place my soul-winning bench. Several times this summer, I have passed by and found some lost soul finding refuge there out of the hot sun. The Lord has helped me to strike up conversations that have eventually led to salvation. Mr. Dixon and Mr. Johnson were two such divinely appointed meetings. Praise the Lord for putting a tree in just the right place to allow a couple men to learn what it is like to abide under the shadow of the Almighty!
We have also continued to have an active part in reaching the Chinese with the Gospel, as well as discipling them in the way they should grow. J____, a young Chinese lady my wife led to the Lord, has recently had to change job locations. This has caused some conflict with her being able to attend the Asian Sunday School Class. She has not been deterred from her desire to grow though. Each Sunday evening, she and S_____ meet via Facetime and study the Bible together. Where there is a will, there is a way.
Our family has also been able to be part of exciting camps, productive meetings, and awesome Youth Conferences! The Lord has truly blessed us this summer, as we have tried to be a blessing to others. We greatly appreciate the churches that have taken us on for support in the last few months. Thank you for partnering with us to take the greatest story on earth to the greatest population in need.
We are looking forward to being with and participating in many churches this fall. Our August through November schedule is pretty full, and we are looking to schedule meetings with churches for next year. Praise the Lord for His goodness!
