Tim Simmons Prayer Letter: Sharing Our TestimonySharing My Testimony

At a soul-winning meeting at FaithWay Baptist Church, I had the opportunity to give a short challenge. I spoke about the importance of sharing our testimony and telling others what God has done for us when we witness. Christa and I went out, and as we were getting out of the van, we saw a man walking our direction on the other side of the street. I approached the man, whose name I found out was William. I invited him to church and then asked him if he knew that he was on his way to Heaven. He said, “I don’t think anyone can know that!” I remembered that I had talked about sharing your testimony when witnessing, so I asked him if I could share what God had done for me. He said “Yes,” so I shared my testimony with him. He then allowed me to go through the plan of salvation with him. After about 30 minutes, I asked him if he was ready to put his trust in Christ alone for salvation, and he said “Yes.” He happily prayed and put his trust in Christ! He said he would like to come to church. Praise the Lord!

Two New Supporters!

In September, we had the opportunity to be a part of the Missions Conference at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Holland, Michigan. Dr. Tom Lancaster preached powerful messages, and God worked in hearts. The people there were such a blessing to us, and it was a sad time for us when we had to leave. It was a blessing to hear that they had partnered with us financially! We are excited about partnering with them! Greenville Baptist Temple is also partnering with us financially! We are excited about partnering with them also! We enjoyed meeting them on August 18 when we presented there. Thank God for more partners in getting the Gospel to Uruguay! We pray that each supporting church will have much fruit to their account and that we will be a worthy investment.

September Meetings

September started our first of 12 Missions Conferences/Missions Months through Thanksgiving. First, we were at First Baptist Church in Lewiston, Michigan, for their Missions Month. Then we had the opportunity to present at Faith Baptist Church in Brown City, Michigan. Then we were at Temple Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana, on their Friend Day. Praise the Lord! They reached a record attendance with a number of visitors! We were then at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Holland, Michigan, for their Missions Conference. We finished out the month at the Missions Conference at FaithWay Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana. They held their Grand Opening service in their new building on August 4! It was exciting to see how God is blessing them, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds for them!
