Tim Simmons Prayer Letter: People Need the Gospel!People Need the Gospel! Matthew 9:36 says, “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.” As I travel on deputation, I am often reminded of the great need of the Gospel and how so many are like those in Matthew 9, who are as sheep without a shepherd! I am thankful for the many opportunities we had in August to give out the Gospel and try to reach the lost. My family and I had the opportunity to go soul winning multiple times. I was able to pass out John & Romans with a church. A church I presented at had a booth at a fair, where they were giving out tracts and invitations to church. A first for me, though, was going with a church in Lansing, Michigan, to pass out Gospel tracts and preach the Gospel to people coming to the first game of the season at Michigan State University! After the game started, a couple of men preached the Gospel to those waiting to get discounted tickets to the game. Many accepted Gospel tracts, and one freshman girl trusted in Christ for salvation!

New Supporters! We had the privilege of presenting our ministry at eight churches in August. Two of those churches promised to support us in the future! We also gained two more supporting churches! We are excited about partnering with Central Baptist Temple and Galilee Baptist Church to get the Gospel to Uruguay! The Lord is building a network of praying and supporting churches in His timing!

Family News! Our son Evan turned three on August 8! Thank you to those who sent birthday wishes for him! I think he is denying the aging process, because sometimes when we ask him how old he is, he still says he is two! Our son Ethan started kindergarten this fall. Christa has been preparing him for it this past year. We are thankful to Riverview Baptist Church in Pasco, Washington, for giving us the kindergarten curriculum! Please pray for us as we work to balance schooling with travel and meetings.

We are looking forward to many meetings this fall! We have 10 Missions-Emphasis Meetings scheduled from September 1 until Thanksgiving. Please pray for God to work through us in each meeting. We are so thankful for your continued prayers and support!
