Tim Simmons Prayer Letter: For Without Me Ye Can Do Nothing!Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support for our ministry! I know that it is only through prayer that we will have fruit that lasts. I don’t want to try to make it through deputation, let alone try to serve in the ministry in Uruguay, under my own strength. I am reminded of John 15:5, “. . . for without me ye can do nothing.”

20% Support!

Praise the Lord that two more churches partnered with us in financial support in April! We were with North Harrison Baptist Church and Pastor Mattingly in March for their Missions Month. We are thankful that they voted to support us! We were with Victory Baptist Church and Pastor Devenney for their Missions Conference in April. On the last night of the conference, they voted to support all four missionaries who were present! That brings our total committed support to 20%! We are excited that our support is increasing, even if it is slower than we may like. There are a number of other churches that have promised to take us on for support or plan to vote on it in the coming months.

Faithfully Serving!

One of the biggest joys of deputation for me is the opportunity to serve the Lord with other like-minded Christians! During our last week in Canada at the beginning of April, I had the opportunity to go soul winning in Barrie, Ontario. We were able to give out 46 tracts and many invitations to their Resurrection Service. Some people said they would visit the church, but many people said they had no religious beliefs and didn’t attend church. I began to think how similar this was to the way many Uruguayans believe. While back in Milwaukee for a few days, I went soul winning with our Spanish Ministry and had the privilege to lead Chavez to the Lord! On our way to Texas, I had the opportunity to drop in at a church during their soul-winning time to invite people to their Resurrection Service. The last Saturday in April, our entire family went soul winning with a church. We are thankful for the two families we met who are planning to attend church! I thank God that He is using us even as we prepare for the mission field!

Please pray for our safety and for good meetings as we make our way out to Montana, Idaho, and Washington from the end of May through the middle of July.
