February and March have been two of the best months of my life! I am sure this is much because of your prayers. Let me tell you about them!
The Lord has given me the privilege of traveling with a team from the church pastored by Dr. Luis Ramos, and we have visited three different churches. Two of them were already well-established churches, and the Lord used me to encourage them to start new churches. He seems to be putting together the things that need to come together to see them become a reality sometime in the near future. I am not sure what will become of them, but it is wonderful to be used of the Lord.
During the two months I was with the team, the Lord gave us many new visitors in church and many decisions for Christ. Let me tell you about one of them. In a very curious situation that involved an earthquake, I was visiting a house with my soul-winning partner. A mother with a 13-year-old and two younger children answered the door. As we began to talk to her at the door, we found that her husband was a Christian, but she was a staunch Catholic who had resisted many attempts for her to come to Christ. We talked for a good 30 to 45 minutes, and finally it seemed like the Lord broke through. I gave her an appeal and the opportunity to accept Christ right then and there. Amazingly, she said yes to Christ! At the very moment she said “Amen,” there was an earthquake of a 7.2 magnitude on the Richter Scale. We were far from the epicenter, but the whole neighborhood began to feel the trembling. Later she did visit the church with her children. It seemed like the Lord was confirming her decision!
The Lord also gave me many opportunities to preach the blessed Word of God, and it seemed like He was in the messages.
Prayer Requests
1. Visit to new church plant in the Guadalajara area the weekend of April 29—wisdom as far as my involvement and the direction of God
2. Visit to a small town in the state of Mexico to explore the possibility of starting a church there
3. Wisdom in the church planting in Mexico and working with Dr. Ramos
4. The power of God in the church planting, soul winning, preaching, and encouraging established churches to start new churches
5. Full schedule for the trip to visit churches in the USA the last week of August through the middle of December; new supporting churches
6. A high-quality video presentation for the churches so they can see for themselves what great things God has done with their investment
