Zach Foust Prayer Letter: Many Projects in Need of Prayer!Greetings from Lima, Peru! Summer has passed, and we are now entering the winter months—BRRR! Although the temperatures only fall to the 50s and 60s, we feel the cold—I guess our blood has thinned!

We are behind in sending out our prayer letter! We apologize for this. Although we have sent out several email updates, we do like to keep our supporting churches informed in a timely fashion with the prayer update. We are so thankful for each of you who keep us in your prayers and for those who make it financially possible for us to continue the work here. What a privilege it is to partner with you in the work of the Great Commission.

Team Peru is involved in many projects that we would appreciate your praying about. The Amazon Outreach Program is moving forward with the recent purchase of a church property for a new work in Iquitos. We met last month with about 30 pastors from that region to help get the discipleship program, Foundations of My Faith, started in the jungle. It is a great blessing to see people in villages up and down the rivers sitting down with pastors who are teaching them the fundamentals of Christianity, basic Bible truths to give them a strong foundation on which to grow.

We are also working extensively with the Hays Water Purification Ministry. We went to Northern Peru in April to have a soul- winning/discipleship meeting with 47 pastors in the Chiclayo Region. These pastors were given a water purification system, a copy of the Foundations of My Faith Discipleship Program, and training in how to use both. We will be doing similar meetings in Arequipa and Lambayeque in the coming months. This is an excellent tool; many of the regions of Peru are without a consistent, clean water supply, which results in disease and many problems. The pastors can then help their village or town, and they are taught how to use the water systems to help get people into the church, saved, and then discipled. God is really using this program, and we are thankful for Bro. John Hays and those who help him get the water systems to needy areas around the world.

Our church in San Gabriel is really growing! Several new families are attending faithfully. We are excited about a new Sunday school class for ladies that meets on Sunday mornings. Also, we have started walking routes in the areas around the church. Each route has a captain, workers, and a lot of opportunities! We have seen growth in our workers as they visit and pray for their people, and we have had a lot of visitors and even new faithful attenders. Please pray for us. We are completely out of space on Sunday mornings. We desperately need our own land on which to build or a building that is ready for us to purchase. We know that God has the perfect place ready and waiting for us! We had 90 people make professions of faith in San Gabriel in the last 2 months. To God be the glory!

Our family is doing well. Zach, Jr. just completed his second year of Bible college. Caleb is getting ready to graduate high school later this month and will be going off to Bible college as well. Logan will be finishing his ninth grade year in school. We are thankful for each of our sons, and we ask you to pray for them, especially as Caleb transitions to living in the States and for us, as we will miss him both at home and at the church.

As always, thank you for your love and support!

His for souls,

Zach and Karin Foust
